Founding history (per Ch. 327, pp. 16–17): founded five years ago by Iceberg, who combined seven competing Water Seven shipbuilding companies into one. Iceberg charmed the workmen with his brilliant shipbuilding skill; the workmen “have pride in their skills” and “don’t back down to either pirates or authority.” Dock 1 is “where the Galley-La Company’s strength is concentrated” — staffed by only five master-foreman technicians per dock, Kaku among them. Foreman ranks named on-page: Rob Lucci = “Sawyer and Treenail Foreman” (caption Ch. 327 p. 3); Kaku = “Dock One Carpentry Foreman” (per Ch. 325).

They state “We’re the ones who want an explanation!!” (p. 13) — they fight to protect their mayor and town, hence the chapter title. • Ch. 336 — The head office tracks the Straw Hats; foremen arrive at the Dock One brawl. A Galley-La aide reports that Iceberg has identified the culprits behind his attack — the Straw Hat gang, including Nico Robin — and has contacted the government; wanted posters circulate (pp. 10–11). At Iceberg’s bedside the loud foreman Tilestone (captioned “cabinetry, caulking and flag-making foreman”) brings news of Franky’s fight and is shushed for being too loud near the recovering mayor (pp. 12–14). At the cliffhanger, foremen Paulie (target-shirt, cigar, “You’ve got some nerve”) and the silent, pigeon-shouldered Rob Lucci arrive at the wrecked Dock One to confront Luffy and Franky (pp. 18–19). • Ch. 335 — Iceberg wakes and names Nico Robin among his attackers. The head office is besieged by reporters during Iceberg’s coma (foreman Tilestone crowd-controls them, pp. 9–11); Iceberg regains consciousness, reassures the staff (“We’ll take care of the shipyard by ourselves”), and names his attackers — a large masked man + “a tall black-haired woman” he identifies over her wanted poster as Nico Robin (pp. 17–19). • Ch. 334 — Iceberg shot; the company in crisis. The company’s president/mayor Iceberg is shot at his home (which doubles as the Galley-La head office, p. 15) and falls comatose; staff declare “if anything happens to him, it’s the end of Water Seven and the Galley-La Company” (p. 10). Senior foremen — including Paulie, who bulls through the swarming press (“YOU IDIOTS! I SAID, MOVE!”, p. 18), and Lulu (summoned at the office, “Lulu! • Ch. 331 — The company HQ is shown from the inside (Iceberg’s office; a staff meeting wrapping, pp. 2–3). The company’s shipwrights’ verdict on the Going Merry — beyond repair (“can’t be repaired any further,” she won’t make the next island) — is the off-panel assessment relayed to the Straw Hats that drives the chapter’s crisis (pp. 7–9). • Ch. 327 — Dock 1 introduced as “where the Galley-La Company’s strength is concentrated”; only five master-foreman technicians per dock, Kaku among them (pp. 12–13). The shipwrights double as the company’s security and recovered the Straw Hats’ stolen 200 million berries from the Franky Family (pp. 4, 6). A giant galleon and demi-culverin cannons are under construction (pp. 14, 18). • Ch. 326 — President Iceberg appears on-page for the first time (caption “Water Seven Mayor & Galley-La Company President,” p. 8) and agrees to repair the Going Merry after reading Kokoro’s introductory letter (p. 12). His secretary Kalifa (caption “Iceberg’s beautiful secretary,” p. 11) and Dock-1 foreman Paulie (caption “Dock One Rigging and Mast Foreman,” p. 17) get their full character debuts. The company has already begun assessing the Merry — a shipwright pronounces her “badly damaged… the mast needs replacing” (pp. 6–7), the first on-page expert diagnosis. Paulie thrashes the Franky Family robbers (“Rope Action… Round Turn!!”) and recovers — then keeps — the crew’s stolen 200 million berries (pp. 15–17).
• Ch. 325 — The crew reaches the firm’s shipbuilding factory / Dock 1 (pp. 14–15). Foreman Kaku — a square-nosed ship carpenter captioned “GALLEY-LA COMPANY SHIP CARPENTER” (p. 15), the Dock-1 carpentry foreman nicknamed “Mountain Wind” — stops them (“only authorized personnel allowed inside the factory”), reads Kokoro’s introductory letter, and explains that Iceberg is the Mayor of Water Seven, the Galley-La President, and manager of the Sea Train (p. 16). • Ch. 324 — The firm’s foremen are named by adoring townspeople as the crew arrives at Water Seven (p. 18): Tilestone (“a real man”), Lulu (“so gallant! A man’s man”), Paulie (“Where’s Paulie?”), and Lucci (“It’s Lucci! Foremen at Dock One crush the Big Helmet Pirates — a minor gang led by Mikazuki (bounty 36,000,000) who brought a ship in for repairs and then refused to pay — over the repair-payment dispute (pp. 14–19).
