- **Road Poneglyph** — JP ロード歴史の本文〔ポーネグリフ〕 *Rōdo Pōnegurifu*, literally 'Road Text of History' (One Piece Wiki). 'Road' (ロード, an English loanword) names the function revealed @0818: the four deep-red Road Poneglyphs each mark a point that, read together, chart the *road / route* to the final island, Raftel (Laugh Tale). 'Poneglyph' itself = kanji 歴史の本文 'text of history' assigned the coined furigana reading ポーネグリフ (VIZ 'Ponegliff' / 'Road Pone-gliff'); the '-glyph' element evokes Egyptian hieroglyphs (Greek *gluphē*, 'carving' — the wiki notes poneglyphs are heavily modeled on hieroglyphs and first surface in the desert nation Arabasta, echoing Egypt). The deep-RED color (vs the dark-blue Historical/Instructional stones) is the on-page 'red poneglyph of a different usage' tell seeded @0817.

What we know
- The Road Poneglyph (VIZ “Road Pone-gliff”) is the red special class of poneglyph named on-page Ch. 818 (the “location stones” framework stated in embryo Ch. 301).
- There are exactly four in the world. Each marks a point that is not Raftel; connecting the four points on a map and reading them all yields the coordinates of Raftel, the final island (Ch. 818 pp. 6–8).
- Distribution (as of Ch. 818): one at Zou (behind the Kozuki crest in the whale-tree, copied by Nico Robin/Nami); one owned by Big Mom on Whole Cake Island; one owned by Kaido, King of the Beasts; one in an unknown spot.
- Only Nico Robin can read the runes; a rubbing/print suffices (no need to move the stone).
- Roger’s trail (Ch. 830): ~26 years ago the two kings of Zou (Inuarashi & Nekomamushi) showed Roger’s crew the Whale-Tree Road Poneglyph, after which Roger reached Raftel and became Pirate King — framing the network as Roger’s route to the final island. Robin tasks the Straw Hats with copying/stealing Big Mom’s Road Poneglyph during the Sanji rescue (pp. 13-15).
- The Whole-Cake-Island raid (Ch. 851): Brook infiltrates Big Mom’s Treasure Repository at Whole Cake Chateau and copies her Road Poneglyph — explicitly framed as the alliance’s insurance (even worst-case, “we will have gained something tremendous”). Big Mom catches him mid-copy, recognizing the “Soul King” (pp. 8-9). The Road Poneglyph held by Big Mom is confirmed to be the one Jinbei earlier delivered (per @0846).
- The Totto-Land escape (Ch. 870): the alliance confirms it has the rubbing and leaves Totto Land carrying it, with the rendezvous set for Wano Country.
