Fish-Man Island — referenced (Ch. 619) — named via his brother

• Ch. 619 p. 13: Franky introduces the coating craftsman Den to the crew as “my teacher Tom’s little brother. His name is Den!” — Tom named in passing.

• Confirmed (via his brother Den) to have built the Pirate King’s ship the Oro Jackson from the same Jewel/Treasure Tree Adam wood as the Thousand Sunny — “Tom used exactly the same materials to make the Pirate King’s ship!” (p. 11).

• CP5/Spandam frame Tom: the apprentice Franky’s unmanned Battle Frankies were hijacked to attack the government’s Judicial Ship, and Tom’s Workers were branded the attackers; Tom is found gravely injured at the harbor (pp. 5–13). When Iceberg blames Franky for ever building such weapons, Tom intervenes — “it’s not Franky’s fault” — insisting a builder answers for what he makes but the ships themselves are blameless (pp. 9–11).
• At the public trial the judge concedes Tom’s earlier crime — building Gold Roger’s pirate ship (the Oro Jackson) — “would have been pardoned today” on the merit of the Sea Train, but rules the fabricated attack on the Judicial Ship “compounds” his crimes (pp. 14–15).
• Breaks his handcuffs and strikes Franky for disowning the Battle Frankies (“they’re not my ships anymore!!!”), then roars his creed: the one who gives a ship life must never deny it — “even if it looks like they’ll destroy the world” — men “puff out their chests with pride and a BOOM!!!” (pp. 16–19). Water Seven — Tom flashback (Ch. 355) — ⭐⭐ The trial-day flashback: confronted by Spandam (CP5), entrusts the Pluton blueprints to his two apprentices

• Shown in his Water Seven workshop during the ten-year stay of execution, with the verdict (execution or acquittal) due in three days; Tom’s Workers have completed the remaining three Sea Train tracks and are receiving a lumber delivery from St. Poplar (pp. 2–4).
• Confronted by Spandam (caption “Cipher Pol No. 5, Chief Officer”) over the young Franky’s armed Battle Franky warships and — the real charge — having built Gold Roger’s ship: “you built Gold Roger’s ship!!” / “He was mixed up with Roger… that’s a high crime” (pp. 4–9).

• Counters with his life’s plan: a steam paddleship that runs on rails across the ocean — the Sea Train — to “save Water Seven!!!” by reopening trade to a dying island (pp. 3–6). Explains its mechanics: it floats just below the surface, rides the submerged rails “as though it were pulling itself along by a rope,” and a discordant rail-paddle sound drives off fish (pp. 5–6).
