The man Kokoro’s letter of introduction points the Straw Hats toward — a key figure in Water Seven’s shipbuilding world, evidently the head/employer at the Galley-La Company (his secretary Kalifa says “Yes, Mr. Iceberg”). Named but not shown in his debut chapter.

Water Seven (Ch. 339) — ⭐ Bedside summons of Luffy; orders the crew captured; the “what Tom had” tell

• First clear on-panel bedside scene. Bandaged and bedridden after the assassination attempt but lucid (pp. 8–10).

• A Galley-La Company aide reports that Iceberg has identified the culprits — the Straw Hat gang, naming Nico Robin as a member — and has contacted the government (pp. 10–11). Wanted posters of the “Straw Hat gang” (Luffy, Zoro, Robin) circulate.

Water Seven (Ch. 334) — Shot at his home; comatose; the city’s defining crime

• Iceberg has been shot. The night after the Going-Merry verdict, Iceberg is found in his room “covered in blood” — shot twice from the front and three times from the back — and falls into an unresponsive coma (pp. 9, 13, 17). His condition “looks bad.” Shown bandaged and unconscious in bed at his residence, with his pet mouse beside him (p. 16). The whole of Water Seven is in an uproar; the press swarm his head office, and the newspaper crowns him “The Hero of Water Seven, Mayor Iceberg” struck down by an assassin (pp. 11–12, 15).
• The crime escalates the “something Iceberg has” tell. His office was ransacked but nothing was stolen (so “not a robbery”), none of the locks were forced, and the only thing left at the scene was a single common mask (pp. 10, 17). Staff float that it was “the work of the government” (immediately hushed) and recall the spurned petitioner Mr. Corgi (Corgy) as a possible grudge (pp. 10–11). Water Seven (Ch. 331) — In his office; the “something he has” tell

• Shown in his Galley-La Company office wrapping a meeting; his secretary Kalifa reports that Mr. Corgi (the World Government official, Corgy) keeps coming to demand “something I have” with “all kinds of conditions” and always leaves “in a huff” (pp. 2–3). Iceberg dismisses it (“I know nothing about such a thing… chase him away”). Seed: Iceberg evidently possesses an unnamed valuable that powerful parties keep coming for — a quiet pre-load of the arc’s blueprint / CP9 intrigue. Water Seven (Ch. 328)

• At the Galley-La gate, avoids the pursuing World Government official Corgy (“I’m not here today”; “I don’t like you. Leave.”); his foremen reflexively cover for him (“tell them we’re not here”) — establishing that the World Government wants something from him and that he keeps them at arm’s length (pp. 11–13).
