Profile

A kingdom whose royal house attends the Reverie. Its ship is attacked by pirates en route to the Holy Land (Mariejois); the King is reported safe and Princess Comane is rescued by Navy HQ Captain Koby (pp. 8–13).

Etymology

Lulucia (ルルシア王国, Rurushia Ōkoku; VIZ also “Lulusia”) has no dedicated kingdom-name etymology on the One Piece Wiki. What is sourced is the Romania theme of its royal house: Princess Comane (コマネ) puns on Romanian gymnast Nadia Comăneci (コマネチ Komanechi), and the dynasty draws on Romanian vampire folklore / Vlad the Impaler. • Ch. 904 — Port Town (sub-location; on-page caption p. 4 “PORT TOWN, LULLUCIA KINGDOM, GRAND LINE”). A poor “heavenly tribute”-paying town extorted by Blackbeard’s subordinate Peachbeard Pirates while the king and his best soldiers are away at the Reverie — “the king has gone for the Reverie and took all his best soldiers with him,” leaving the kingdom defenseless. Liberated by four Revolutionary Army commanders (Belo Betty, Morley, Karasu, Lindbergh).

Confirmed cause of destruction (Ch. 1116)

• Vegapunk’s broadcast confirms Lulusia was erased by an ancient weapon powered by the stolen Mother Flame, ~two weeks after the theft — “the sky over Lulusia shone with a powerful light,” the kingdom “vanished without a trace,” and “nothing but the Mother Flame could have created so much energy.” (Note: VIZ spells the kingdom “Lulusia” here; canonical note basename is Lulucia.)
