Pattern-pluton-location-tension
Two chekhov-explicit claims sit on-page in unresolved tension — the State-of-the-Mysteries-2026-06-09 dossier called this the program’s sharpest falsifiable seam, to be held open rather than papered over.
The two explicit claims
- The weapon sleeps in Alabasta. Crocodile: “…it’s sleeping somewhere in this kingdom” (Ch. 193 p. 10, building on the first utterance Ch. 192 p. 7) — yet when Robin reads the Alabasta poneglyph she reports “There’s no mention at all of the Pluton” (Ch. 203 pp. 6–7), and Crocodile holds his claim anyway: “I know from Cobra’s reaction that the Pluton does indeed exist.” Held at Pluton Sleeps In Alabasta God Of Death Weapon Location Reveal and Robin Withholds Pluton Conceals What The Poneglyph Says.
- The plans lived at Water Seven. Pluton is named there as “a battleship that was built on this island a long time ago” (Ch. 344); the blueprints descend Tom → Iceberg → Franky and are burned on-page (Ch. 399). Held at Pattern - shipwright-lineage-handdown - Water Seven Pluton Blueprints.
The seam
Is the weapon in Alabasta while the plans toured Water Seven? The two claims are compatible only under specific resolutions, each falsifiable:
- Robin gatekept — the Alabasta stone did hold Pluton data (a location, possibly not Alabasta at all) and she concealed it. Filed: Robin Concealed Plutons Location From Crocodile At The Alabasta Poneglyph (0.88, partially-confirmed).
- Crocodile mis-inferred — Cobra’s terror confirmed only that Pluton exists and the royal line guards its record, not that the hull rests under Alabastan sand.
- Both — the stone records a location elsewhere; “sleeps in this kingdom” was Crocodile’s wrong completion of a true secret.
