Profile
Massive humanoid race native to Elbaf, a self-described “village of warriors” (Dorry, Ch. 116 p.14). First appear in the series as the two duelling warriors Dorry (blue, sword) and Brogy (red, axe) on the prehistoric island Little Garden (Ch. 116). Known of in the wider world but rarely seen — Nami: “I’ve heard of them, but… I never saw one before” (Ch. 116 p.11) — i.e. geographically segregated from common East-Blue / Grand-Line populations.
Defining traits
Ch. 116 p.16 — Lifespan ~3× human (Dorry: “Our life spans are three times those of humans. Aw, that’s nothing.”). Refined by SBS to a hard 300-year ceiling with ~half-rate maturation (adulthood ~40). Full lore: Giants Lifespan And Race.
Ch. 116 p.6, pp.9-10 — Combat tier: a single Brogy axe-blow one-shots a T-rex; Dorry halves another from above-frame. A different combat-tier from ordinary humans.
Ch. 117 pp.8, 15 — Honor doctrine: each warrior wears a chest-flag reading “WARRIOR” that “means more to them than their very lives” (Vivi, p.8); long lifespan amplifies the desire to “die with honor,” which becomes “the eternal treasure of our homeland” (Dorry, p.15). Race biology, phenotype, combat tier, and the Elbaf honor doctrine all first canonized; Dorry & Brogy’s 100-year duel (73,466 draws) established. Usopp anchors his life-dream to becoming “a warrior of Elbaf” (Ch. 117 p.15) — a seed that detonates ~1000 chapters later.
