- フクロウの図書館 (Fukurō no Toshokan, 'Owl's Library'): フクロウ fukurō = 'owl,' the near-universal emblem of wisdom/scholarship (Athena's owl), naming an owl-shaped giant library that houses Ohara's rescued True-History archive. Reinforced by its Chief Librarian Biblo — a centuries-old giant owl — whose name derives from biblia (Greek/Latin 'books'; root of 'library' in the Romance languages). Hangs on Branch Route 8 of the Yggdrasil-coded Treasure Tree Adam.
Elbaf (SW of the Western Village) · first appeared: Ch. 1133
Profile
A great library on Elbaf, southwest of the Western Village and beside the Warrior’s Spring. There is a school below it where Dr. Saul teaches “classes on history and various books” (“warriors have to study hard too”). Robin is brought here because Saul “wanted to show [her] the library.”
Strongly reads as the home of Ohara’s rescued library — the books the Elbaf giants salvaged from the Buster-Call ruins and that Vegapunk read in hiding (established Ch. 1066) — a candidate repository of the surviving True History. See Elbaf Owl Library Holds Oharas Rescued Books Robins Destination.
Chapter 1182 — the books survived
- Scorched but standing; “a hidden tunnel… so around the back… ending in a secret room” preserved all the books from the fire (p. 8) — Biblo’s doing. Robin’s twenty-year fear of another Ohara is (for now) averted here. See Holy Knights Order Elbaf To Burn Its Library Restaging Oharas Destruction (payoff — inverted), Elbaf Owl Library Holds Oharas Rescued Books Robins Destination.
Etymology
フクロウの図書館 (Fukurō no Toshokan, “Owl’s Library”). フクロウ (fukurō) is the Japanese for owl — across cultures the emblem of wisdom and scholarship (Athena’s owl in the Greco-Roman tradition) — naming an owl-shaped giant library that turns out to hold Ohara’s rescued True-History archive. The motif is reinforced by its Chief Librarian Biblo, a centuries-old giant owl whose name comes from biblia (Greek/Latin “books,” the root of “library” in the Romance languages). The library hangs on Branch Route 8 of the Yggdrasil-coded Treasure Tree Adam. (One Piece Wiki–sourced; medium confidence — the owl/wisdom reading is transparent but Oda has not commented in an SBS.)
