Summary
The crew is split. At sea, a giant pirate ship carrying Brook, Jinbei and Nico Robin gives up its search for the missing Straw Hats — “we searched and we didn’t find nothin’!! But we know they’re alive!!” — and steers back to Elbaf, where everyone is headed anyway. Aboard, the morning paper reveals Dorry and Brogy, the “Giant Pirate Crew,” are each now worth 1.8 billion berries for setting the seas around Egghead aflame “with Emperor Straw Hat Luffy,” while branding Luffy the man who murdered Vegapunk. Studying a photo of Luffy’s “Free form,” Robin notices a strange mark on his arm that is crystal-clear though his hand blurs, and that “seems familiar.” The giants reminisce that the youngster Hajrudin — once on their crew, now Luffy’s follower — is “the son of a king too,” and that “trouble back in Elbaf” kept the others from coming. Meanwhile Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Zoro, Usopp and Tony Tony Chopper reach Elbaf itself — a colossal ancient tree, a snowbound castle, and a giant-sized rope bridge over a forest packed with giant wolves. New Giant Pirates Goldberg (cook) and Gerd (doctor) patrol near “Rodo’s” castle, hunting intruders and griping about the odd new navigator Hajrudin brought onto the crew — Gerd snaps, “Loki’s not the shame of Elbaph, it’s him!!” The “trouble” is then told in full: the king had another official child, the Accursed Prince, who in his desperate desire for a legendary devil fruit passed down through the Elbaf royal line killed his father King Harald and ate the fruit — “the next time that Loki, the accursed prince, is unleashed, the world will be brought to ruin,” and “he is the shame of Elbaph!!” (p11). Sensing a presence, Luffy leaps off the bridge into the wolf forest and lands before a colossal chained figure. “Name yourself!!” — “The man who will be King of the Pirates!! I’m Luffy!!” The bound giant answers: “And I am the Sun God who brings the world to an end!! — Loki!!”
New reveals
- The Accursed Prince = Prince Loki. Long named-only (Lola’s spurned suitor, since Ch. 858), Loki is shown on-page: a colossal giant bound in chains in the wolf forest beneath Elbaf. He is the king’s “other official child.”
- Loki killed King Harald for the royal-line fruit. His “desperate desire for a legendary devil fruit passed down through the Elbaf royal line… led him to kill his father, King Harald, and eat the fruit.” He was sentenced to crucifixion a few years back, nearly escaped, and it took “all of our warriors to get him under control.”
- Prophecy: “The next time that Loki, the accursed prince, is unleashed… the world will be brought to ruin.” He is “the shame of Elbaf.”
- “The Sun God who brings the world to an end.” Loki’s self-declaration mirrors — and inverts — the liberation Sun God Nika: a destroyer-Sun-God to Nika’s liberator-Sun-God. (See Sun God Identity and the Divine Pattern.)
- Dorry & Brogy bounties = 1.8 billion each. The “Giant Pirate Crew returns after a century of slumber”; the press ties them to “Emperor Straw Hat Luffy” and brands Luffy the murderer of Vegapunk.
- Hajrudin was a youngster on Dorry & Brogy’s old crew and is “the son of a king.” He is now Luffy’s follower (Grand Fleet).
- New Giant Pirates introduced: Goldberg (cook, slurred speech) and Gerd (doctor, female giant, with an owl named Piper). They guard the area around “Rodo’s” castle and hunt intruders.
- The mark on Luffy’s arm. In the press photo of Gear-5 (“Free form”) Luffy, Robin fixes on a mark on his arm — blurred hand, crystal-clear mark — that “seems familiar.”
- Elbaf shown present-day for the main crew — “War-Land, Elbaph’s Kingdom of Warriors!! The most powerful nation in the world, which once lived and breathed warfare!!”

Open questions raised
- What is the legendary devil fruit of the Elbaf royal line that Loki killed for — and is its “Sun God who brings the world to an end” framing literally Nika-adjacent, an opposite, or a competing divine fruit?
- What is the mark on Luffy’s Gear-5 arm that Robin finds “familiar”? Where has she seen it before?
- Why is Loki bound rather than executed, and what does “the next time he is unleashed” imply about a prior unleashing?
- Who/what is “Rodo,” kept at the castle, that “creates intruders all on his own”?
- Is “the son of a king” (Hajrudin) connected to Elbaf’s royal line, or another giant nation’s throne?
