• Confirmed as the half-human/half-giant son of the human ex-Roger-Pirate Scopper Gaban (“Mr. Ya”) and the giantess Ripley — Luffy’s “giant shrimp.” Gaban: “he’s 20… he took on a lot of giant’s blood… grew up without me bein’ able to hold him in my arms.” (p. 7.) Notes

• Etymology: コロン Koron (VIZ “Collun”; One Piece Wiki “Colon”). Most likely a goroawase number-name — ko (5) + ro (6) = “56”, the same digit-pair as Luffy’s signature 56 (go-mu, “rubber” / Gomu-Gomu) — reinforcing Collun as a deliberate young-Luffy mirror (a giant child awed by the new Emperor). Character design is based on the Norse boy-hero of Vicke Viking / “Vicky the Viking,” consistent with Elbaf’s Viking-Age / Norse coding.
