Galleila Band
A legendary Elbaf giant company — captured abroad · named Ch. 1154
Profile
A legendary hundred-strong company of hardy giant shipwrights and hammer-wielding warriors from Elbaf — with “ancient giants” among them — long thought a myth. They traveled to distant shores and sent one final letter back to Elbaf: “We have all been taken prisoner.” Chief Jarul cites their capture as evidence of a distant “great enemy” and ties it to rumors of an “army of giants put on ice and hidden somewhere” — Void-Century material. Named/described only (not clearly shown on-page); status: captured.

Notes
- Etymology: ガレイラ “Galleila,” kanji 大槌戦団 = “Great-Hammer War-Band / Hammer Squadron” (their warhammers); the reading deliberately echoes the Water-7 shipwrights Galley-La (‘galley’ = ship), framing these ancient giants as the shipwright lineage behind Galley-La (Library of Ohara: “not one and the same,” distinct JP spellings — a wordplay echo, not identity).
