Chapter 1131: Loki in the Underworld

Summary

Luffy has reached Elbaf at last and meets Prince Loki, the giant “accursed prince” chained beneath the kingdom’s great tree in the lowest plane of the land — the Underworld, Elbaf’s prison and execution yard. Loki (Special Government Bounty 2.6 billion) calls himself the Sun God of local legend, explains his sea-prism chains have held him six years, and offers Luffy a deal: free him and he will annihilate any one rival pirate crew of Luffy’s choosing. When condemned criminals and the Underworld’s beast “sentinels” let slip that Red-Haired Shanks recently came to Elbaf to see Loki, Luffy fixates on it; Loki rages, snapping his chains taut, then admits the answers won’t come for free. Meanwhile the New Giant Pirates (Hajrudin’s crew) haul the Thousand Sunny and a slain beast up toward the village, while at sea Brook finishes restyling Robin’s hair to the long look she wore when she met Saul — and the giants tease an imminent reunion. The chapter ends on the cliffhanger that Dr. Saul himself has collapsed in Elbaf and won’t get up.
