Chapter 1137: Introducing Shamrock

Summary

Two threads run in parallel on Elbaf. At Aurust Castle — the royal castle sealed and untouched for the 14 years since King Harald’s death — Luffy, Nami and Usopp are guided by the giant Rodo of Hajrudin’s crew, hunting the keys to Loki’s chains. The ruined, bone-strewn castle (“a giant graveyard”) is the scar of the day Loki slew over 100 warriors and killed his father; the only survivors were Chief Jarul and Loki himself. Before King Harald’s portrait, Rodo recounts the dead king: the peace-loving “greatest king in the history of Elbaf,” who carried Ancient Giant blood and ripped out his own horns because they reminded him of the era of war. The crew learns that Hajrudin is King Harald’s other son — Loki’s half-brother, born to a woman from a different giant nation whom Elbaf’s bigotry barred from becoming queen — and that Hajrudin, honest where Loki is monstrous, dreams of uniting all giant-kind. Meanwhile, in the Underworld, the Holy Knight Gunko (Arrow-Woman, Arrow-Arrow Fruit) fights the chained Loki, her arrows reading “the confirmed path” of his future moves, repeatedly pressing him to “join the ranks of gods.” Loki refuses outright. The Holy Knights’ commander calls Gunko off and is revealed: Figarland Shamrock, a red-haired World Noble — son of St. Garling of the Five Elders — who declares that the vicious warriors of Elbaf will be brought under the World Government’s command once and for all.
