Summary
The Straw Hats and their Water Seven allies assault Enies Lobby, the World Government’s Judicial Island, to recover Nico Robin. The chapter opens with a two-page “Straw Hat Pirates VS CP9” portrait spread (Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky on one side; Lucci, Kaku, and the rest of CP9 on the other). At the outer Island Gate, Luffy and Zoro smash through the gate guards — Luffy fighting unarmed and tearing through the line with rubber attacks and his “ally robot” pummeling gag — and Luffy bursts through onto the main island while Zoro presses on. Inside, CP9 and the Director receive frantic gatekeeper reports; the Director rages that an attack on the entryway of the World Government — which bears its sacred insignia — is an unthinkable embarrassment, and orders the guards roused. Meanwhile Sanji, Chopper, Franky, and the Franky Family (with the Square Sisters and the Yagara bulls Sodom and Gomorrah) batter down the Main Gate with attacks like “Bazooka Bat,” “Keel Breaker,” and “Figure Eight Knot,” breaking through the first gate toward the waterfall and the Island Gate. The two giant gatekeepers, Oimo and Kashii, are roused from sleep. The chapter closes on Luffy standing alone before 10,000 soldiers, declaring he came by himself and bellowing “Get out of my way!!!”

Open questions raised
- Why do two giants, Oimo and Kashii, serve as gatekeepers for a World Government island?
- How does one lone unarmed pirate get past 10,000 soldiers and an inner fortress?
- What is the World Government’s “sacred insignia” / “World Gate” emblem, and what does the Judicial Island actually do?
