Profile
The domed “HUMAN” hall at Grove 1 of the Sabaody Archipelago where the monthly Human Grand Auction is held (first shown Ch. 501 p. 4). Run by the auctioneer/manager Disco; the auction-house emblem is a sun-disc bearing the kanji 売 (“sell”) flanked by small jolly-roger skulls (p. 5). Slaves are held backstage and sold by a posted price list (p. 7); buyers include the Celestial Dragons, whose presence inside the hall makes any rescue-by-force impossible (Ch. 501 p. 14). The captured mermaid Camie is held here for sale (pp. 14-15). See Slavery.
Etymology
(Name origin if researched — the venue is literally a “human shop” / auction house for the World-Government-tolerated slave trade.)
Key chapters
- Ch. 501 — first shown: the Human Grand Auction opens under Disco; the posted price list and the auction lots (Byron #1, Pasia #15) are presented; Camie is held backstage in a slave collar.
- Ch. 503 — the Celestial Dragon Incident: in the aftermath of Luffy punching Saint Charlos, the hall erupts in a brawl; Saint Roswald opens fire and Saint Shalria tries to kill Camie, before the auctioned slave Silvers Rayleigh breaks free and drops the crowd with an unexplained force. Marines surround the hall and an admiral is dispatched from Navy HQ. See Celestial Dragons, Haki.
