Gaban on Conqueror’s (“Supreme King”) Haki: it is “a power that’s only useful when you consciously control it,” yet it can be “flowing out of you ” unconsciously — which is how Zoro has been using it without realizing. Multiple Straw Hats carry it (“more than one of you with Supreme King Haki”), and Prince Loki wields it too.
Ch. 1122 pp. 11–17 — pre-stored, time-delayed Haki (the construct Emet unleashes Joy Boy’s stored Conqueror’s Haki)
Ch 1122 introduces the concept of storing/locking Haki inside a body to be released later : in a Void-Century flashback a child “tied a knot of the greatest Haki ” into the construct Emet , to be “untied… only when the time is right ” — when Emet’s life or someone it wishes to protect is in danger (pp.16–17). In the present, Emet unleashes a vast wave of Conqueror’s Haki (“Color of the Supreme King?!”) strong enough to make an attacking Marine fleet and sea-monsters vanish (pp.11–12, 15). Ch. 1014 pp. 2–3 — Kaido grades Luffy’s Conqueror’s-Haki coating
Kaido confirms Luffy “infused [him]self with the color of the Supreme King ” (Conqueror’s/Haoshoku Haki) into his strike, calling the technique “crude and clumsy” yet conceding “your use of it…” — on-page acknowledgement of the advanced Conqueror’s-Haki coating as a real, if immature, capability (the same infused strand graded @1010).
Ch. 1010 pp.10, 13 — Conqueror’s-Haki INFUSION (“color of the Supreme King” coating), the apex application
Chapter title “Color of the Supreme King.” Kaido recognizes that both Zoro (p.10, mid-Asura) and Luffy (p.13) now infuse their attacks with Conqueror’s (Supreme King / Haoshoku) Haki — distinct from raw emission/mass-KO. Ch. 947 pp. 6–7 — Hyogoro on the interior register of Armament/Ryuo
Hyogoro distinguishes two registers of Armament/Ryuo: “outward” Haki covers the surface (standard hardening), but a tier beyond penetrates the enemy’s interior and destroys them from the inside , making attacks far more powerful. The same technique can be turned to offense or used defensively as “invisible armor.” Crucially, Luffy already performs it unconsciously — it is how he shattered the sea-prism steel kill-collars from within. Ch. 940 — “Ryuo,” Wano’s word for Haki
Hyogoro names Ryuo (“Flowing Cherry Blossom”) as Wano’s term for Haki and teaches its flowing application: channel the Haki into the fist from the parts of the body that don’t need it (pp. 10–11). Ch. 935 pp. 6, 8 — Luffy frames seastone resistance as Haki training; laments he can’t use Haki
In the Udon mines Luffy strains against his sea-prism cuffs as deliberate training — “when these things come off… I’ll be even stronger!!!” (p. 6) — while a warden marvels “his willpower’s simply off the charts.” He laments only that he “can’t use Haki ” (p. 8). The unconscious Luffy involuntarily bursts Conqueror’s (Supreme King / Haoshoku) Haki , felling bystanders. Charlotte Katakuri declares “there are even levels to the color of Armament!! ” as he overpowers Luffy ’s hardened strikes in the Mirro-World duel — the first explicit on-page confirmation that Busoshoku (Armament) Haki is tiered/graded , not binary hardening, and that Katakuri wields a higher grade than Luffy. Luffy uses Observation Haki to sense Katakuri ’s hidden presence inside his shrine (p. 8), then — once Katakuri’s composure breaks — lands a clean kick Katakuri “didn’t dodge ” (p. 15) and says “I think I’m starting to understand… your powers!” (p. 16). Ch. 716 — p. 18 — a Garp-era legend wields Conqueror’s Haki
Narration calls the clash between Chin Jao ’s drill-head charge and Luffy ’s punch “a collision of Supreme King Haki ” (p. 18); the burst flattens most of Block C, leaving “just two” standing. Ch. 698 — pp. 6–7 — mass-knockout Conqueror’s Haki (“Haki of the Supreme King”) by a Warlord

Armament Haki showcase (Vergo ). Vergo clads a plain bamboo staff in Haki to make it “a formidable weapon” (technique “Demon Bamboo” ) and, on p. 16, sheathes his entire body in jet-black Armament Haki. Two explicit Logia-counter rules are stated: against superior Haki a Logia’s expansion “only makes for a bigger target” (vs Smoker ’s smoke, p. 9), and a Haki-hardened body is immune to Law ’s severing powers (p. 15). Two non-fruit / cross-fruit power tells. Sentomaru , “not a devil fruit user,” lands a “Sumo Strike” that hurts rubber-Luffy — “there’s something weird about his attacks” (p. 14). Rayleigh catches the light-Logia Kizaru ’s kick barehanded (pp. 18-19). Both affect bodies a normal attack cannot — rubber and intangible light — the later-formalized Armament (Busoshoku) Haki shown without naming. The Haki system/taxonomy stays forward-canon. Ch. 512 pp. 13-14: Sentomaru ’s blunt “Sumo Strike” again injures the rubber-bodied Luffy — “Why are his blunt strikes working on Luffy? He’s supposed to be made of rubber!!” A will-imbued blunt blow that bypasses rubber’s velocity-rebound — the on-page precursor to Armament (Busoshoku) Haki , distinct from the Conqueror’s-presence strand. Ch. 518 — Haki referenced as common knowledge among Grand Line warriors
The Kuja are stunned that Luffy felled the panther Bacura with one punch: “He didn’t use any Haki ! He did it by brute strength alone?!” (p. 15). Establishes Haki as an expected combat tool among Grand Line warriors — and that Luffy, at this point, does NOT use it. The Haki system/taxonomy stays forward-canon; record only the on-page naming.
Ch. 519 — “Haki” given a working definition + first naming of the Conqueror’s (“Supreme King”) strand
pp. 10, 12: the Gorgon Sisters Sandersonia & Marigold use Haki to read and predict Luffy ’s movements (“with the power of Sandersonia’s Haki, she can dodge anything”; “they’re reading all my moves”). Luffy is told he “doesn’t know how to use Haki… that’s true of most people from the outer oceans. That’s why they’re so weak” — the first on-page framing of Haki as a trainable perception skill (the later-formalized Observation strand), distinct from the @0434 presence-naming.
pp. 18-19: first on-page naming of the Conqueror’s strand. Luffy’s involuntary will-burst drops the surrounding Kuja warriors unconscious; the crowd names it “the Haki of the Supreme King” (覇王色 territory, not spelled on-page), held by “the chosen ones — only one in millions,” and names Hancock as the only previously-known wielder (“he’s like me… the Supreme King Haki?!”). “He stabbed him with pure Haki!!” — Whitebeard lands a strike on Aokiji ’s intangible Logia body. Ch. 570 — the Conqueror’s (“Supreme King”) strand detonates at war-crowd scale and is openly attributed to innate birthright
Luffy ’s involuntary will-burst fells a huge swath of the Marineford combatants; survivors name it on-page: “He has the Haki of the Supreme King!! He’s like Pops and Shanks!! ” (p. 2). Garp privately registers it as inherited: “So you really were born with it … You too, Luffy” and “he did it instinctively … there’s a scary power hidden deep inside that kid” (p. 2) — echoing Roger. The marines tie the power to lineage (son of Dragon ) and to charisma (“that explains why people are so drawn to him,” p. 4). Ch. 574 p. 7 — Armament Haki lets a fighter strike (and be struck by) a Logia body
Akainu repels the logia Marco and the swordsman Vista , calling them “you Haki users… can be such a handful” — reaffirming that Armament Haki bypasses Logia/elemental intangibility and lets a Haki-wielder strike (and be struck by) a Logia body. On Rusukaina , Silvers Rayleigh formally teaches Luffy the Haki taxonomy (pp. 12–18):
Observation Haki (“color of Observation”) — acutely sense an opponent; read the location, number, and movements of enemies you cannot see. “They call this power Mantra in the Sky Island of Skypiea” (p. 13) — the explicit on-page equation of Mantra with Observation Haki.Armament Haki (“color of Arms”) — “an invisible suit of armor” that can also be used as a weapon; the only counter-measure (besides hitting weak points) effective against Logia / Devil-Fruit users (pp. 13–15). Lets one strike intangible Logia bodies — explicitly referencing Aokiji , “Smoky” , and how Rayleigh hit Kizaru ; the Kuja imbue their bows/arrows with it.Conqueror’s Haki (“color of the Supreme King”) — possessed only by those who would stand above others; overwhelms the weak-willed without a touch. Armament Haki “only gives you the ability to interact with the ‘body’ of the Logia” and “doesn’t actually sap the opponent’s ability to USE his powers” — distinct from the sea or the energy from Seastone (Sea Prism Stone).
