  • Blackbeard (Marshall D. Teach) wields the stolen Gura Gura no Mi (tremor power) on-page for the first time, triggering huge tsunamis — 'This power is exhilarating!!' — while admitting 'I can't control it too well yet.' He taunts Sengoku ('Buddha') and Garp ('Hero'), declaring 'The era of Whitebeard is over!! You're all obsolete now!!'
  • Blackbeard's quake-tsunami is broadcast/tracked as heading for the Sabaody Archipelago, forcing a mass evacuation of the civilian crowd there.
  • Trafalgar Law's submarine surfaces at Marineford to extract the gravely wounded Luffy (and Jinbei); Kizaru arrives to stop them but Law dives away with Jean Bart catching them — 'Law, the Surgeon of Death.'
  • Koby unconsciously perceives the deaths around him — 'the voices in my head are disappearing, one by one' — and breaks down, then stands and screams for the killing to stop: 'It's a waste of human life!!' (read as a latent Observation-Haki manifestation — inference).
  • Akainu (Sakazuki) moves to execute Koby for it; Red-Haired Shanks blocks Akainu's strike with his sword — 'Well done, young seaman. Those few seconds of courage will profoundly influence the fate of this world.'
  • The Red Hair Pirates arrive en masse at Marineford; Benn Beckman holds Kizaru at gunpoint, and Shanks — holding Luffy's straw hat — declares: 'I've come to put an end to this war!!'

Summary

Trafalgar Law’s submarine surfaces at Marineford to take in the dying Luffy (and Jinbei) — the Marines recognize him as the North Blue rookie from the Sabaody Celestial-Dragon incident and split their forces to chase the fleeing Whitebeard and Blackbeard crews. Meanwhile Blackbeard, wielding the just-stolen tremor fruit for the first time, levels chunks of the island with tsunamis he “can’t control too well yet,” gloating that “the era of Whitebeard is over” and taunting Sengoku and Garp; the quake sends a tidal wave racing toward the Sabaody Archipelago and the panicked civilian crowd is evacuated. Kizaru arrives to intercept Law, but Law dives away with Jean Bart hauling Luffy aboard. On the battlefield Koby begins hearing the “voices in his head disappear one by one,” breaks, and then finds a few seconds of courage — standing amid the slaughter to scream that the continued killing is “a waste of human life,” knowing it will cost him his life. Akainu lunges to kill him; Red-Haired Shanks blocks the blow, praises the boy, and warns that those seconds “will profoundly influence the fate of this world.” Benn Beckman trains his rifle on Kizaru, the Red Hair Pirates flood the bay, and Shanks — cradling Luffy’s straw hat — announces he has come to end the war.
