Summary

In the aftermath of Kaido’s one-blow KO of Luffy in Kuri, Kaido marvels that Luffy is still breathing. When Law moves to intervene, Basil Hawkins pins him with a “Straw Sword” — a tiny sea-prism-stone nail driven through his straw voodoo-doll — revealing that “the sea prism stone throughout the world was born here, in this country,” and only Wano’s artisans can shape it that small. Kaido orders Luffy locked up to break his spirit into “a good soldier” and enforces a news blackout on pirates — but the unconscious Luffy involuntarily bursts Conqueror’s Haki, which Kaido recognizes as “the color of the Supreme King… like Lord Oden’s special trick,” noting that Eustass Kid has it too. Reverting to dragon form to keep drinking, Kaido leaves; Hawkins resolves to hunt the escaped Law. In Okobore Town a cloaked Ashura Doji has secretly delivered food and longs to reunite with Otsuru “once Lord Oden’s wishes are accomplished,” while Shinobu and Okiku use Shinobu’s Ripe-Ripe power to open a sinkhole and carry villagers to safety. News of “Luffytaro’s” clash with Kaido spreads across Wano. The next day at Udon, Luffy is hauled into the Prisoner Mines as the famous new prisoner, cows his jailers with a glare, and is thrown into a cell — where Eustass Kid, already chained, snarls “I’ll get you… Kaido!!!” The chapter closes on a mysterious shamisen player: Wano, Act One — End.
