That is the only rule of this world.” His men wonder who could do this and whether the man fell from “an island in the skies above this place” (pp. 10–12). • Technique etymology — the “Punk ___” attack set (technique/name-etymology, confidence high, src One Piece Wiki / TV Tropes): Kid’s magnetic attacks all carry a punk-rock / heavy-metal music theme — Punk Gibson (Gibson guitars), Punk Rotten (Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols), Punk Vise, Punk Pistols. His new finisher this chapter, “Punk Corna Dio” (Ch. 1038 pp.16–17) — a colossal bull-shaped metal colossus — layers two metal references: Corna = Italian for “horns” and the heavy-metal mano cornuta (devil-horns) hand sign popularised by Ronnie James Dio, and Dio = Italian “God” + the singer Dio himself. The bull/horned form also fits Kid’s bull animal-motif (his quick temper / charging fury). Flavor-encoding, not foreshadowing — no future reveal hidden in the name.
