The seed
Sentomaru — “I’m not a devil fruit user, mind you!” — lands a “Sumo Strike” that hurts rubber-Luffy ; “there’s something weird about his attacks.” Rayleigh catches Kizaru ’s light-Logia kick with his bare hand . Two distinct tells, one chapter, of a power that affects bodies a normal attack cannot — Luffy’s rubber and Kizaru’s intangible light.
The payoff

Rayleigh names the color of Arms (Armament) Haki and defines it as the only counter-measure against Logia / Devil-Fruit users — the named explanation of his barehanded catch of Kizaru’s light kick and Sentomaru’s fruit-less blows. Cross-references hitting Aokiji , Smoker , Kizaru .
Why this matters
