Why this matters
Oda almost never has a character state, in dialogue, that a minor figure’s single moment will “influence the fate of this world.” When he does — through a Yonko, no less — it is a deliberate chekhov-explicit flag. Combined with the negative-space tell of Koby unconsciously perceiving death (the Observation-Haki strand the series later formalizes), the chapter is openly marking Koby as a long-arc mover.
