Summary
On the Skull Dome rooftop the Worst-Generation alliance fights on against Kaido and Big Mom. Big Mom’s homie Zeus is failing and she scrambles to save herself; Law uses his powers to throw the dragon Kaido off (“Injection Shot,” pp.3-4) and deliberately keeps the two Emperors separated — even returning Prometheus so Big Mom won’t die, because “the plan might as well be a failure if anyone dies” (p.5). Kid and Killer take over the Big Mom side (Killer’s “Dead Man’s Game”). When Kaido moves to crush the downed Luffy, Zoro intervenes — “if you wanna crush anyone’s skull, you’ll have to start with mine!!” — and unleashes Nine-Sword Style: Asura on Kaido, landing a strike Kaido admits “this wound will remain with me” (p.10). Kaido recognizes Zoro unconsciously wields “the color of the Supreme King” (Conqueror’s Haki) and retaliates with Thunder Bagua. Recalling Hyogoro’s lesson that power “truly blossoms in the midst of danger,” Luffy declares he’s figured it out: after taking Kaido’s club he learned to infuse Conqueror’s Haki into his attacks — the apex application Kaido says “only a handful of the very strongest can” do (pp.12-13). Luffy lands clean, infused blows the dragon Kaido “can’t even touch,” vowing to beat him and let everyone know.
New reveals
- Conqueror’s (Supreme King / Haoshoku) Haki has an advanced application: infusion/coating. A user can imbue attacks with “the color of the Supreme King”; Kaido frames it as the apex tier — “only a handful of the very strongest can!!!” (pp.10, 13).
- Both Zoro and Luffy display Conqueror’s-Haki infusion against Kaido — Zoro unconsciously, mid-Asura (p.10, Kaido: “the color of the Supreme King too?!”); Luffy after deliberately figuring it out (pp.12-13).
- Zoro leaves Kaido a lasting wound. Kaido: “this wound will remain with me…” (p.10) — Zoro joins Oden as one of the very few to permanently scar the “strongest creature.” Zoro himself only hoped to “knock you off your feet” and doesn’t realize what he did.
- Law’s plan logic stated outright: the goal was to separate the two Emperors, and the alliance must not let either Emperor die or the plan fails (p.5). Law returns Prometheus so Big Mom survives; Kid and Killer take over Big Mom.
- Luffy’s power-up is sourced to Hyogoro’s training principle — “It is in the midst of danger that power truly blossoms!!” (pp.12-13). Luffy: “I figured it out!! …but after taking that hit from your club.”

Open questions raised
- How far can Luffy push the newly-grasped Conqueror’s-Haki infusion against a Yonko? (Mastery forward.)
- Can the alliance keep both Emperors separated long enough to win, given that the plan fails if either Emperor dies?
- What is Kid building with the metal “clouds” he notices gathering on the rooftop?
Threads touched
- Worlds Greatest Swordsman — Zoro’s Asura leaves Kaido a lasting wound (Conqueror’s-infused), making him the first since Oden to permanently scar the strongest creature — a milestone on the road to surpassing Mihawk.
