- Katakuri's mochi is intangible Logia-style — Luffy's bare punches pass through it; only Armament Haki connects with the 'solid form,' which is why Luffy thought his hits 'didn't work.'
- Katakuri's true strength is not the mochi but his advanced Color of Observation (Kenbunshoku) Haki — he can SEE THE FUTURE; Luffy deduces this on-page and Katakuri all but confirms it.
- Luffy is beginning to detect/dodge Katakuri's attacks a beat ahead — his first steps toward future-sight Observation Haki.
- Observation Haki future-sight requires a calm mind; Katakuri admits he handed Luffy an opening by losing his composure, and is 'starting to understand' how Cracker was beaten.
- FIRST APPEARANCE: Charlotte Oven — Fourth Son of Charlotte, Minister of Baking — guarding the sweets factory at Chocolat Town and driving off Pound.
- Pound — Big Mom's discarded 25th (ex-)husband and Chiffon's father — turns up at the factory gate begging to see Chiffon one last time.
- The cake plan localized: Sanji, Pudding and Chiffon are baking a replacement wedding cake at the Chocolat Town factory to calm Big Mom's craving-illness; the Straw Hats' Cacao Island rendezvous is ~9 hours / 1 AM away.
- Katakuri is stated to carry 'a billion-berry bounty' and to have 'never lost a fight in his life.'
- Big Mom's rampage has reached Nuts Island; in her craving-haze she sang to and FREED her entire Territory Sea Slug surveillance network ('a weekend off'), which is why the fleeing Sunny is going unchased.

Summary
In the Mirro-World, Luffy (Gear 4 Boundman) finally solves the riddle of Katakuri’s mochi: his earlier punches passed straight through because the mochi behaves like an intangible Logia, and only Armament Haki connects with the solid form — so his attacks can hit after all. Pressing the exchange, Luffy realizes Katakuri’s real edge is not the Mochi-Mochi power but his Color of Observation Haki, which lets him see the future; Katakuri concedes the point even as Luffy starts reading and dodging his strikes (Rhino Schneider, Power Mochi, Unstoppable Donuts) a beat ahead. Shaken at being struck — “how many years has it been since I was punched?” — Katakuri admits he gave Luffy the opening by losing his calm, says future-sight needs a settled mind, and begins to understand how his brother Cracker was beaten, before resealing the fight back to square one. The scene cuts to the Chocolat Town sweets factory on Cacao Island, where Sanji, Pudding, Chiffon and Brûlée race to bake a replacement wedding cake to halt Big Mom’s craving rampage. At the gate, the discarded ex-husband Pound pleads to see his daughter Chiffon; the newly arrived Charlotte Oven, Minister of Baking, recognizes his “former stepfather” and violently drives him off. On Whole Cake Island, Mont-d’Or and Perospero get word that Big Mom is razing Nuts Island and that every Territory Sea Slug in the surveillance network has vanished — because Big Mom herself, lost to her hunger, sang the sea slugs free for a “weekend off,” explaining why the escaping Thousand Sunny is, to Nami’s unease, going completely unpursued.
New reveals
- Mochi is Logia-style intangible: Luffy’s bare punches “went right through” Katakuri; Armament Haki is what hits the solid form (the same way it works on Logia), so Luffy’s attacks can connect (pp. 3–4).
- Katakuri’s true strength = Observation Haki future-sight: Luffy declares “it’s not your mochi powers that are so great… it’s your Color of Observation, isn’t it?!” and frames it as “seeing the future”; Katakuri concedes by explaining he is “merely reforming my body to efficiently dodge your attacks” (pp. 5, 7).
- Luffy beginning to read the future: he detects and answers Katakuri’s moves a beat ahead — he reads and evades Rhino Schneider a step before it lands (“RHINO… HUP!!”, p. 9).
- Future-sight needs calm: Katakuri admits “for Observation Haki to work you need to be properly calm… I allowed you the opportunity by losing my grip and getting a bit excited,” reels at being struck for the first time in years, and is “starting to understand how” Cracker was defeated (p. 8).
- Charlotte Oven — first appearance: captioned “Fourth Son of Charlotte, Minister of Baking: Charlotte Oven,” he arrives at the locked-down factory, recognizes Pound as his “former stepfather,” and drives him off (pp. 14–15).
- Pound at the gate: Big Mom’s cast-off 25th (ex-)husband and Chiffon’s father turns up begging to see Chiffon “one time” (the chapter’s titular “Who is that guy…?!”) (pp. 11, 15).
- The cake plan, localized: Sanji + Pudding + Chiffon are baking the replacement wedding cake at the Chocolat Town factory to stop Big Mom; the crew’s Cacao Island rendezvous with Luffy is ~9 hours / 1 AM out (pp. 12–14).
- Katakuri’s billion-berry bounty and undefeated record are stated by the factory staff (p. 15).
- Big Mom’s surveillance collapse: every Territory Sea Slug is gone — Big Mom sang her own slug network free (“a weekend off”), so the Sunny escapes unchased; Nami fears a trap (pp. 16–17).
- SBS Question Corner (p. 18): Katakuri doesn’t let people see him eat (not that he can’t); there is “a reason for his incredible speed,” his mouth “wasn’t ripped from birth,” and Oda is “still thinking about whether to reveal that in the story”; Rook Bege lodging is free if Bege accepts you; Big Mom’s height (~880 cm) vs. the shortest fully-grown giant (~40 ft).

Open questions raised
- Can Luffy actually learn to “see the future” with Observation Haki fast enough to beat Katakuri before the 1 AM rendezvous lapses?
- What is the “reason for his incredible speed” and the truth of Katakuri’s mouth that the SBS teases?
- Will Pound get to see Chiffon, and what is Oven’s role now that he’s overseeing Cacao Island?
- With her own surveillance network freed, how long before Big Mom realizes the Straw Hats are escaping?
