Summary
The Onigashima raid pushes inside the Skull Dome. The Big Mom Pirates’ ship crests the climbing-koi waterfall to reach the island, Big Mom privately vowing the alliance is a sham and that her crew “will reign supreme,” while she chases Nami’s group through the Pleasure Hall and idly grants life to a pair of objects. On the Performance Floor, an announcer hypes Orochi’s “special event”: the captive son of Kozuki Oden — the boy believed dead twenty years. Scattered through the castle, Zoro carves through ~500 Gifters, Kid annihilates more, and Luffy collides with the Tobi Roppo siblings Ulti and Page One, who transform into their Ancient-Zoan dinosaur forms (Pachycephalosaurus and Spinosaurus). Ulti’s “Ulti-Mortar” headbutt nearly kills Luffy, who survives on hardened Haki and KOs Page One with an Elephant Gun. As Ulti winds up to finish him, a horned newcomer fells her with a kanabo strike named Thunder Bagua — Kaido’s own technique. He addresses Luffy by name, says he has waited a long time, and reveals: “I’m Kaido’s son! My name is Yamato!!”
New reveals
- Kaido’s absent, expected child (planted @0977) appears on-page: a tall, horned, oni-masked figure who fights his way to Luffy, professes “I mean you no harm,” and declares “I’m Kaido’s son!! My name is Yamato!!” (pp. 16–17). The chapter presents Yamato as Kaido’s son in male register.
- Ulti — an established Tobi Roppo and Page One’s older sister since Ch. 978 (recap, not new here) — reappears, addressed on-page as “Lady Ulti”; she calls him “Pay-Pay” and he calls her “Sis” (pp. 8, 11).
- Both Tobi Roppo siblings hold Ancient-Zoan dinosaur fruits of the Ryu Ryu no Mi line: Ulti — Pachycephalosaurus Model; Page One — Spinosaurus Model (p. 11, captioned splash).
- The Gifters number “nearly 500” power-users and openly recruit/threaten intruders (“everyone should follow Master Kaido!!”) (p. 6).
- Orochi’s Performance-Floor “special event” is the public display of the captive son of Kozuki Oden, “the boy we believed to be dead 20 years ago” (p. 5) — Momonosuke paraded for the crowd.
- Yamato’s debut attack is literally Thunder Bagua, Kaido’s named signature move (which one-shot Luffy @0923), here swung from a giant kanabo (p. 15).

Open questions raised
- Why is Kaido’s own son fighting his way to Luffy as an ally, and what has he been “waiting” for? (See Why Is Kaidos Son Yamato Aiding Luffy.)
- How does Yamato wield Kaido’s signature Thunder Bagua, and what is his power tier / Devil Fruit? (Not shown on-page.)
- What does Orochi intend with the captive son of Oden displayed on the Performance Floor?
