Eustass Kid’s Paramecia. It lets him attract and repel metal — the auction-house/Sabaody combat debut (Ch. 505) showed the power unnamed, dragging every dropped weapon and iron salvage into one giant scrap-metal mass. The fruit is named on-page for the first time by Big Mom Ch. 1031 (p. 4) as “the magnet-magnet fruit,” where its awakening is also revealed: Kid can “assign magnetic qualities to something,” i.e. magnetize objects that aren’t normally metal/magnetic. ⚠ DISTINCT from Admiral Sakazuki’s Magu Magu no Mi (Magma-Magma Fruit) — do not confuse the names.

Awakening
On the Onigashima rooftop (Ch. 1031 p. 4), Big Mom deduces that Kid has awakened the Magnet-Magnet Fruit: “So awakening for the magnet-magnet fruit… allows you to assign magnetic qualities to something?!” The awakening extends his power from attracting/repelling existing metal (debuted unnamed Ch. 505) to imposing magnetism onto objects that aren’t normally magnetic — used to pin Big Mom under magnetized iron beams. Etymology
- Fruit name — surface meaning. ジキジキ (jiki jiki) reduplicates 磁気 (jiki), the ordinary Japanese word for “magnetism.” The databook/infobox gloss is simply “Magnetism.” Straightforward functional name, matching the fruit’s attract/repel-metal power. ⚠ Homophone-adjacent but DISTINCT from Akainu’s Magu Magu no Mi (magma) — different kanji, different element.
- Technique theme — “Punk” pun layer. Kid’s named moves run a consistent punk-rock motif. The trick is a furigana reading: the moves are written with the kanji 磁気 (“magnetism”) but read aloud as パンク (panku = “punk”) — so every “Punk ___” attack literally spells “Magnetic ___” while sounding like a punk-band reference. Per the One Piece Wiki, “Kid’s techniques all reference some aspect of punk culture, such as music bands and fan gestures,” the only exceptions being the fundamental moves Repel (反発 riperu, “repulsion”) and Assign (付与 asain, “assignment”).
