Chapter 1013: Anarchy in the B.M. (Big Mom)

Summary

On the Live Floor of the Skull Dome, Big Mom rises again and corners the fleeing Nami, Usopp and Otama (mounted on Komachiyo). Nami stays to fight, unleashing Tornado Tempo with Zeus, but Big Mom debuts her brand-new thundercloud homie Hera — fusing Hera with Prometheus into a Maser Cannon that misses Nami and instead blasts her own ally Ulti. Spurning Zeus (“I don’t need you anymore!!”), Big Mom orders Hera to eat Zeus’s soul to power herself up. Zeus, cornered and despairing, makes a final stand: he turns on Big Mom to cover Nami’s escape — “This is how I want to be remembered!!” — but Hera devours his soul first, leaving Zeus a drained husk who can’t even eat the black balls Nami throws him. As Big Mom vows to kill the Straw Hats, Eustass Kid crashes in with Punk Gibson, knocking Big Mom aside and claiming “She’s mine!!” Meanwhile, on the rooftop, Kaido has knocked Luffy off Onigashima entirely — reflecting that, by not publicly executing him, the alliance will keep believing Luffy is going to win. The chapter ends with Luffy plummeting unconscious from the Skull Dome.
