Chapter 1011: The Code of Sweet Beans

Summary

The rooftop melee fragments. Big Mom, summoning her new homie Hera, fires the lightning blast Fulgora, but Eustass Kid’s weakening magnetism lets her slip off the Skull Dome roof and crash back down into the castle — so Law elects to leave Luffy alone against Kaido and drag everyone else below to keep Big Mom from rejoining the Emperor. Luffy and Kaido trade haki-charged blows on the roof, Luffy grinning wider the more dangerous it gets. Kid and Killer land on the third floor; Kid races off after Big Mom while Killer is intercepted by Basil Hawkins, who fortune-tells the assassin a 92% chance of death. Two floors below, Nami, Usopp, and Otama ride Komachiyo through dinosaur-Zoan Gifters, trying to reach the open stage so Otama’s millet-dumpling command can flip the enemy fighters. There they run straight into Big Mom — who recognizes Otama as “Olin’s” benefactor. In flashback we learn Kaido’s followers torched Okobore Town, the place that fed the amnesiac Emperor sweet oshiruko. Enraged that her clowns destroyed the town that was kind to her, Big Mom rounds on the Beasts Pirates — invoking a pirate’s “code of honor” — and smashes the Gifters menacing Otama’s group, just as Page One and Ulti arrive.
