Summary

With the victory party at Ryugu Palace still raging, Luffy, Zoro and Sanji haul back the treasure stashed inside the knocked-out Caribou’s swamp-body, which King Neptune is handing to the Straw Hats. At the island’s sweets factory they stumble onto two Big Mom Pirates collectors — the lion-mink fighter Pekoms and the Longleg-Tribe fighter Baron Tamago — shaking the factory down. Tamago explains the factory flies the jolly roger of Charlotte “Big Mom” Linlin, one of the Four Emperors: Fish-Man Island pays 10 tons of sweets a month in exchange for her protection. At her home, Whole Cake Island, Big Mom is shown in person for the first time — a glutton who eats her own subjects during cravings and burns whole countries that fail their tribute. Hody’s attack wrecked the factory’s machinery, so this month’s shipment can’t be made; Tamago warns that means Fish-Man Island will be destroyed. When Big Mom’s call comes through the Den Den Mushi, Luffy grabs it, claims he personally ate all 10 tons, offers Caribou’s treasure as repayment, and then declares he’ll come to the New World, beat her, and make Fish-Man Island his territory — before crushing the snail.
