Ambushed by Blackbeard at Winner Island ; Jean Bart , Shachi , Penguin and Bepo fight to protect Law and the submarine Polar Tang while Law trades blows with Blackbeard and escapes via Warp (pp. 2–9). (last_appearance advances 1019→1064; evidence_chapters += 1064.)
Ch. 1019 — Wano: the crew rescue and revive a near-drowned Luffy aboard the Polar Tang
While captain Law is away fighting on Onigashima , the crew rescue and revive a near-drowned Luffy aboard the Polar Tang at sea near Wano (he had fallen into the sea off the island). They lament Law’s absence — “Dammit! If only the captain were here!” — as Luffy spits up the seawater, jolts awake, and demands meat (pp. 3–4). Ch. 951 — Wano: Law captured; three Heart Pirates freed as bargaining chips
With captain Law captured in Wano , three of the crew — Bepo (wanted across the nation as “Polar Bear ”), Penguin , and Shachi — are released as “bargaining chips.” Law’s order, relayed through them, is to keep his capture secret from the Straw Hats — “our captain’s life comes before the plan.” The freed three reach Nami /Shinobu ’s group north of Ebisu Town carrying Yasuie’s re-keyed code; the crew is anguished and pushes to act (pp. 7–9). Ch. 945 — Wano/Udon: the crew is caged by Hawkins to neutralize Law
The crew (incl. Bepo , Shachi , Penguin ) is captured by Basil Hawkins and caged at Udon as hostages/voodoo-proxies — three of the “four lives” Hawkins must spend before he can be killed for good — neutralizing captain Law (pp. 7–8). Hawkins taunts Law: “you’re going into that cage to join them.” (last_appearance advances 0934→0945 — the crew is shown caged; evidence_chapters += 0945. Ch. 938 — Wano: the captured crew is blamed for the leak; Law defends them
Bepo and other captured Heart Pirates are suspected by the scabbards of having leaked the alliance’s operation; Law defends them — “Bepo and the others would die before they talk!! … Don’t insult my crew!!!” (pp. 7–8).
Ch. 936 — Wano: the crew reported captured as bait for Law
The whole crew (Bepo et al.) is reported captured by the enemy in Wano , to be used to lure out captain Law — or “the entire city will plunge into chaos” (p. 15).
Ch. 934 — Wano: in hiding, reading the news off a “Smail”
In hiding in Wano with Law , the crew reads the day’s news via a “Smail” (smart snail): Oiran (top courtesan of Wano) ‘s funeral is tomorrow; Eustass Kid escaped the Udon jail; Basil Hawkins is in Wano in Kaido’s alliance. Ch. 916 — Wano: Law calls off a subordinate; a crewman dies of river poison
Over a Den Den Mushi, Law warns a Heart-Pirates subordinate off the man “with a straw hat around his neck” (Luffy ) — “He’s far beyond your ability… do not engage him” — and says “I’m on my way now” (pp. 11, 19). A Heart Pirate is dying after eating fish from the poisoned river despite Law’s warning, offering to “give the baboon back.” (last_appearance advances 0914→0916; evidence_chapters += 0916.) Ch. 914 — Wano: the crew moves to intercept the Straw Hats
In Wano, the Heart Pirates spot “Straw Hat and Roronoa” entering Bakura Town and move to stop them before Luffy triggers chaos (“He’s going to cause nothing BUT trouble!!! …We’ve got to stop those idiots!!”, p. 17). “Straw Hat’s in Wano?!” (last_appearance advances 0913→0914; evidence_chapters += 0914.)
Ch. 913 — Wano: the crew is already in Wano, watching the Straw Hats
The crew (Bepo and at least two others) is already in Wano , observing the Straw Hats from atop a mountain and debating whether to break cover and make contact (“You know I’m right! Ch. 820 — Zou: Law takes the sub to Wano; requests poneglyph rubbings
Law takes the crew’s submarine to Wano to investigate Kaido ’s poneglyph and to ferry the Wano group safely; asks Luffy to bring back poneglyph rubbings (pp. 13–16).
Ch. 815 — Zou: the Heart Pirates introduced as a full crew, “twenty strong”
Trafalgar Law formally introduces the whole crew to Luffy — a full-page splash, “twenty strong ” (p. 12). The crew grumbles at being “disrespected”; Law: “It’s just an alliance. No one said you had to be friends.” He restates the alliance’s target as the Emperor Kaido (p. 13). First on-page appearance of the Heart Pirates as a complete assembled crew. Ch. 810 — Zou: Bepo shown defending his mink homeland
In the minks’ siege flashback, navigator Bepo is shown helping defend Zou against Jack — “I might be a pirate, but this’ll always be my hometown!!! ” (p. 4) — reinforcing the crew’s tie to the mink homeland.
Ch. 807 — Zou: the crew reunites with their captain

Ch. 805 — Zou: the crew shown stationed on the mink homeland
The Heart Pirates are on Zou (navigator Bepo ’s mink homeland; Bepo is its “Navigator (Assistant Guardian)”) while Law was away at Dressrosa. They reunite with the alliance, recall having “helped you out after the Paramount War,” and had learned of the Law–Straw Hat alliance from the newspaper (pp. 9, 14). Ch. 802 — the crew is established to be on Zou
Law ’s vivre card points the voyage of the Mister Luffy Go toward them (“So your friends must be up ahead!!”, p. 13) — confirming the Heart Pirates are on Zou . Crewmate Bepo is a Mink, the Zou-native race.
Ch. 780 — the crew name and heart-jolly-roger interrogated
Doflamingo singles out why Law named his crew the Heart Pirates and wears the Corazon heart symbol — tying the crew’s identity directly to Law’s loyalty to the dead Corazon (“so why do you wear the heart, Law?!”, p. 6–7).
Ch. 699 — Punk Hazard departure: the crew flees the island by sea aboard the Thousand Sunny with the Straw Hats ; the Law–Straw Hat alliance is broadcast worldwide by the morning paper (“Warlord of the Sea, Trafalgar Law, forms unprecedented alliance with Straw Hat Pirates,” p. 17). Ch. 698 — Punk Hazard: captain Trafalgar Law publicly frames the Straw Hat –Heart Pirates alliance to the Straw Hat crew — its goal is to take down the Emperor Kaido by cutting the SMILE supply (capturing Caesar ); the next target is the hidden SMILE factory in Dressrosa (pp. 14–17). Ch. 668 — Punk Hazard: the Straw Hat –Heart pirate alliance is formally sealed — captain Trafalgar Law accepts Luffy ’s terms to “take down one of the Four Emperors ” (“Make sure the rest of your crew is on board with the plan. Ch. 661 — Punk Hazard: captain Trafalgar Law fights Vice-Admiral Smoker and the G-5 Marines at the lab entrance as a sitting Warlord (Seven Warlords of the Sea ); his Devil Fruit is named on-page for the first time — the Op-Op Fruit (p. 17).
Ch. 659 — Punk Hazard: captain Trafalgar Law is revealed as a Warlord of the Sea (Seven Warlords of the Sea ), basing on Punk Hazard ; he became a Warlord by sending 100 pirate hearts to Marine HQ (p. 19).
Ch. 591 — Post-War: Law , Bepo and Penguin surface off Amazon Lily ’s Calm Belt coast, cross paths with Rayleigh (whom they met at Sabaody), then submerge and leave once Law’s treatment of Luffy is done (pp. 2–6).
Ch. 582 — Post-War: two weeks after the war, the crew is granted a men-ban exception to anchor in Rocky Bay , Amazon Lily , so Trafalgar Law can treat the recovering Luffy . Crewmate Penguin is named on-page (cap legible, p. 8); Bepo and others camp at Rocky Bay.
Ch. 581 — Post-War: the crew’s submarine surfaced near Hancock ’s ship after extracting Luffy ; Trafalgar Law performed the surgery, with Bepo and Jean Bart aboard. The sub is to be towed across the Calm Belt by the Kuja ship to shelter Luffy on Amazon Lily .
Ch. 579 — Marineford: the crew’s submarine, captained by Trafalgar Law , extracts the dying Luffy and Jinbei under fire; Jean Bart hauls the pair aboard as Law dives clear of Kizaru .
Ch. 578 — Marineford: the crew’s yellow submarine surfaces in the warzone so Trafalgar Law can extract and treat the dying Luffy ; Bepo shown aboard. First on-page appearance of the Heart Pirates’ submarine.
Ch. 565 — Summit War / Sabaody: amid the cut war-broadcast chaos and the rumor that Whitebeard “sold out his men,” captain Trafalgar Law coolly weighs “the chance of the Whitebeard Pirates surviving is…” and orders the crew out — “Get the ship ready, Bepo … Come with me, Jean Bart ” — and the Heart Pirates leave Sabaody Archipelago (p. 3).
Ch. 505 — Sabaody breakout: Law’s polar-bear crewmate Bepo is named (addressed by Law) and Jean Bart — a freed former pirate captain enslaved by the Celestial Dragons — pledges to serve Law and joins the crew (pp. 13-14, 18).
