Chapter 936: Sumo Inferno

Summary

In Udon’s Prisoner Mines the chained prisoners realize Kawamatsu the Kappa is alive after 13 years; he tells the infiltrating ninja Raizo to break him out — the decisive battle is “nine days from now, the night of the Fire Festival.” Raizo, the “key thief,” evades the guards with a smoke-escape jutsu. Master Queen unveils his “Sumo Inferno” death-match: Luffy and the old yakuza boss Hyogoro must keep winning sumo bouts or their explosive Celestial-Dragon-style collars decapitate them; their sea-prism cuffs are removed “to be fair.” Luffy effortlessly hurls the sumo guards out of the ring (“not even good for practice”), and Queen muses that it looks like Supreme King (Conqueror’s) Haki. In the Flower Capital, X Drake of the Tobi Roppo and Headliner Basil Hawkins raid a bathhouse, hunting anyone bearing the waning-crescent-moon ankle tattoo — the alliance’s plan has leaked. Sanji (“Soba Mask”) crashes in ogling, then deploys his Germa raid suit Stealth Black to spirit Nami, Robin, Shinobu and the others out through the air. Word arrives that Bepo and the Heart Pirates have been captured to lure out Law. In snowy Ringo, Zoro confronts the bandit who stole — and has now returned — the famed Shusui to the grave of the legendary samurai Ryuma; Zoro wants the bandit’s hoard of blades for the alliance, and they clash.
