Summary

The chapter opens at sea: Blackbeard has ambushed Trafalgar Law and the Heart Pirates at Winner Island in the New World, the two trading awakened-scale quake blows (Law’s “Shock Wille” / “Amputate” vs. Blackbeard’s “Tremor Crush” / “Black Vortex”) while the Heart Pirates fight to keep their captain and the submarine Polar Tang afloat; Charlotte Pudding and the remnant Big Mom Pirates are also present, and a Marine report of the clash reaches a frustrated fleet admiral Sakazuki at HQ. The scene cuts to Future Island Egghead, where a Kuma-model Pacifista has frozen at the sight of the disguised, child-aged Bonney. Touring the island aboard the flying robot VEGAFORCE-01, Bonney hears the truth of how Vegapunk and the World Government turned Kuma — wicked-king-turned-pirate of the Sorbet Kingdom, Revolutionary Army leader, and a man “from a special people” — into a cyborg Warlord, and erupts that Kuma is her father and was no tyrant. The crew, split into touring groups, marvels at Egghead’s recreated sky-island clouds, its Labophase/Fabriophase structure, and the future research suits, while in the lab Vegapunk — who suspects his own death is imminent — opens a line to Dragon.

• Bonney is Kuma’s daughter. Confronted with the WG’s account of Kuma, Bonney shouts “My father was not a tyrant!!!” (p. 12), paying off the long-hidden Bonney–Kuma bond.
• Kuma was “from a special people.” Bonney: “My father told me that he was from a special people…” (p. 12) — a race/bloodline hint, not named on-page.

• Vegapunk foresees his own death — “being a genius… means being able to see even what your own future contains… I suspect that my death is imminent” (p. 17).
