Chapter 1063: My Only Family

Summary

On Egghead, the Straw-Hat advance party (Luffy, Nami, Jinbei, Franky) gorge themselves at the island’s automated food dispensers and trade for new SSG-branded clothing from “FASHION” booths, marvelling that the once-empty island is now full of people in heavy clothes. A Kuma-faced Pacifista marked “POLICE” turns on them as punishment for “theft,” firing a laser; when Luffy fights back, a frilly-dressed young woman desperately begs them to stop, weeping that the cyborg is her daddy — her only family — Jewelry Bonney, revealing she is Kuma’s daughter (the crew correct her: “It’s a Pacifista!!”). The scene cuts to a stretch of New World sea where the Blackbeard Pirates are crushing Law’s submarine: Doc Q’s contagious “feminization disease” sweeps the Heart Pirates, Jesus Burgess hurls a whole mountain, Van Augur warps the crew to land, and Blackbeard himself descends astride his winged Pegasus mount Stronger, declaring a “winner takes all” hunt for all of Law’s road poneglyphs.

• Bonney is Kuma’s daughter — she calls the Kuma-faced Pacifista “my daddy… my only family” and begs the crew not to hurt it (pp. 8–9). The chapter title, “My Only Family,” is her line.
