Chapter 659: About My Torso

On the burning side, Team Luffy (Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Robin) must cross a lake that is half boiling water, half ice; Usopp grows a giant Boaty Banana from his Pop Green seeds — plants he collected during his two-year survival on the Bowin Islands — and the crew rows across, only to be ambushed again by a centaur who blows a horn to summon his “boss,” warning that the intruders are crossing to the boss’s side. Silhouetted figures emerge on the far bank, one bearing a katana whom the centaurs fear as “the samurai who cut down our kind,” and the Straw Hats realize the S.O.S. they received was meant for that group. Inside Dr. Vegapunk’s former laboratory on the icy side, Team Nami flees with a running pair of disembodied legs leading kidnapped children to safety; Team Sanji (Sanji, Franky) fights gas-masked guards in the “Biscuits Room,” and a silent, dual-sword-wielding upper body — a torso that cannot speak because its head is elsewhere — terrifies Team Brook at the lab entrance. Meanwhile a masked subordinate reports to a hidden “master,” who chooses to hide his ships rather than be seen by the approaching G-5 battleship of Vice Admiral Smoker. When Smoker’s men blast open the lab door demanding the squatter surrender, the door opens on Trafalgar Law, now a Warlord, who declares the island off-limits — leaving Smoker and Law in a standoff.

• Trafalgar Law is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, occupying Punk Hazard as his base — “This is my mansion now… what do you want?” (caption: World Government Recognized Pirate Warlord of the Sea — Trafalgar Law · Former Bounty: 440,000,000 berries).
