Red Line · first appeared: Ch. 905
Profile
The World Government’s mammoth port, with counterparts on both sides of the Red Line; it serves as the government’s route from the sea on one side of the wall to the other, and sits around the rear of Navy Branch G-1 (old Marineford). People are carried up to Sacred Marijoa on bubble-based lifts called bondolas (pp. 5, 11). First shown Ch. 905.
Etymology
(Pending the etymology pass — descriptive: the WG port at the foot of the Red Line.)
Key chapters
- Ch. 905 — first appearance; the Reverie convoy ascends to Marijoa from here by bondola.
- Ch. 907 — senior Marines Garp and Hina gather here; the pre-Roger “Roxy”/Rocks era is first named on-page (p. 6). See Rocks and God Valley, Rocks.
- Ch. 1071 — Kuma, escaped from Mary Geoise, crashes down at the base of the Red Line near the bondola loading area and begins moving northeast across the island; the WG scrambles Marines and orders citizens to evacuate (pp. 3-5). See Kuma Deploys With Purpose Despite Having No Human Will.
