Chapter 905: What a Beautiful World

Summary

A panorama of the Reverie’s eve. At New Marineford — the relocated Navy HQ now on the New World side of the Red Line, commanded by Fleet Admiral Sakazuki — officers fume that Admiral Fujitora returned having defied his order to capture Straw Hat and Law first; Sengoku needles the brass. Royal parties ascend the Red Line on bubble-lifts called bondolas from Red Port toward Sacred Marijoa: King Hamburger, the Soca Cote princesses, King Taco, Queen Morollon and others arrive. The Ryugu Kingdom delegation — King Neptune, the princes, and Princess Shirahoshi — draws crowds; Garp is mobbed as a hero, while Stelly, the new King of Goa and Sabo’s foster brother, insults Garp and demands his noble connections to become a Celestial Dragon. Riding the bondola, Shirahoshi sees the surface sun for the first time and weeps — “What a beautiful world!!!” — and Neptune resolves to petition the Reverie to let Fish-Man Island’s people live on the surface. At Marijoa, Admiral Ryokugyu (lounging, having fasted three years) trades barbs with a guest who means to destroy the Seven Warlords system. At Kamabakka Queendom, revolutionaries Koala and Betty discuss whether the Celestial Dragons — not the World Government — are the true foe. The chapter closes on the Red Line with Stelly’s retinue glimpsing a giant with a trident in the wall, crows that “don’t usually fly this high,” and a hidden figure murmuring, “Please be at ease, King Stelly… heh heh.”

• New Marineford. The Navy HQ shown @0598 to have swapped sides with G-1 is now depicted in full: a new fortress at the entrance to the New World, commanded by Fleet Admiral Sakazuki; old Marineford = “G-1 Base” (pp. 2-3). 14-15).
• Fujitora’s agenda. A guest at Marijoa (blind, fresh from seeing Vegapunk’s “creation”) tells Ryokugyu it is “the system I actually mean to destroy… for the Seven Warlords of the Sea!! There’s no longer any need” (pp. 14-15).
