Name meaning
Italian — *acqua* 'water' + *laguna* 'lagoon': 'water lagoon / lagoon-water.' Confirmed by Oda in SBS (Vol. 38) as a riff on Venice's real *Acqua Alta* ('high water'), the periodic tidal flooding of the Venetian lagoon that submerges the city's low-lying ground. Reinforces the whole Water Seven = Venice coding (canals, sinking ground floors, Yagara-gondolas). The Italian (not Japanese) naming is itself the tell that the city is Venice.

Structural lore — what Oda has confirmed about this. Mysteries (unsolved questions) live in Vault/Threads/; this is what the world IS.

Aqua Laguna is the annual flood-tide that submerges Water Seven. Named on-page Ch. 335 .
