Chapter 383: Luffy vs. Blueno

Summary

The Rocketman — carrying the Straw Hats, the Galley-La foremen, and the Franky Family, pulled by the two King Bulls Sodom and Gomora — barrels into Enies Lobby and smashes through the Main Island Entrance, opening the Galley-La-vs-Courthouse-Guard-Force fight (p. 7). As the train tears past, Luffy is confronted by Blueno of CP9, who has stayed behind on the island to block the gate. Blueno warns Luffy that attacking Enies Lobby means raising a standard of revolt against the entire World Government — 170-plus signatory nations, the Marines, and “their supreme majesty” (pp. 9–11) — and that with CP9’s Six Powers, fighting is useless. Luffy refuses (“I don’t feel like giving up!!”), and the bout begins: Blueno hardens with Tekkai (Iron Body) and strikes with Shigan (Finger Pistol), but Luffy is dramatically stronger than at the mansion and pummels him with Gum-Gum Gatling, blasting him back (pp. 12–15). On the train, Chopper relays the bulls’ story to the crew — the Franky Family found Sodom and Gomora half-dead inside the stomach of a giant Neptunian and nursed them, earning their loyalty. The courthouse’s battleship artillery then strikes Sodom in the chest; the King Bull is feared dead, and Gomora is sent on alone (“Go, Gomora!!”) to drive the Rocketman onward.
