⭐ Canon-bridging B-plot. A counted cover serial — Oda’s 9th Limited Cover Page Series — that runs on the post-Enies-Lobby / Thriller Bark title pages. Enel (VIZ romanizes him “Eneru” on most installments) survives his Skypiea defeat, rides the Ark Maxim off the White-White Sea, and reaches the Moon — finding lunar ruins, an army of clockwork automata (the “Spacey” robots), and at last a vast carved underground lunar city whose iconography matches Skypiea/Shandora. The decorative space comedy is quietly the on-page payoff of the main-plot mystery of where Enel’s “Fairy Vearth / Endless Varse” leads.

Title / spelling note (variants folded)

This one serial is captioned inconsistently by VIZ — alternating the on-page romanization “Eneru’s Great Space Mission” with the official “Enel’s Great Space Mission.” Both spellings, the slug Enels-Great-Space-Mission, and the umbrella opener banner “Limited Cover Series, No. 9: Endless Varse” (@0428) all denote this thread. Canonical character link is Enel (“Eneru” is a VIZ-romanization alias; there is no Characters/Eneru note). Per-chapter Cover-Stories/04xx stubs are folded here — do not create separate notes.

  • Ch. 429 — Vol. 2: “Arrival at the Endless Varse.” Enel kneels on a cratered lunar surface under a starfield, staff in one hand, his four-drum (dial) back-rig fanned out.

Status

Concluded at 0474 — the on-page caption reads “FINAL VOLUME” (Vol. 38: “Full Power! The Eneru Army Stands Tall!”). The serial ends on Enel’s in-universe moon-coronation: he stands as self-appointed “God” of the Moon atop his fully-reactivated army of ancient-lunar automata. The Limited Cover Series No. 9 thus runs 0428 → 0474 (Vols. 1–38). The cover → main-plot payoff bridge landed on-page well before the finale (@0466, hardened @0472), so this thread stays wired to the prediction and foreshadowing it pays off.
