Summary

The Absalom–Sanji fight in the wrecked wedding hall reaches its core: Sanji names Absalom’s power as the Clear-Clear Fruit (Suke-Suke no Mi), the invisibility that let Absalom’s bazookas appear from nothing, and reveals the chapter’s title meaning — as a child Sanji read the Encyclopedia of Devil Fruits and the single fruit that awed him was the one that would let him turn invisible and peep on women, so his fury at a man he has “just met” is that Absalom ate his dream. Absalom mocks the grudge as absurd (“you’re being a pervert!”), then drops his guard to show his true strength: a Hogback-built chimera body — lion’s head, elephant skin, bear/gorilla muscle, 600-plus pounds — for which the Clear-Clear Fruit is “nothing but an accessory.” Absalom tries to abduct/invisible-marry Nami anyway; Sanji catches the unconscious bride, sets her down gently so his blood won’t stain her dress, renounces his invisibility dream, and beats Absalom into the floor with Extra Hachis Hash — a beast’s bride should not be a beast.
