- Firsts
- The Thousand Sunny has been swallowed through Thriller Bark's 'Mouth Gate' — a wall six-or-seven metres high surrounds the entire ghost island and the ship is now trapped inside it (pp. 2-3). Robin deduces the island deliberately wanders the seas.
- Franky fully reveals the Thousand Sunny's SOLDIER DOCK SYSTEM (pp. 5-7): Channel 0 = support paddles, Channel 1 = a one-seat 'hobby-horse' waver, Channel 2 = four-seat steam paddleboat MINI MERRY II (a tribute rebuild evoking the Going Merry), Channel 3 = three-seat recon submarine SHARK SUBMERGE III; Channel 4 is still empty. He calls the vehicles 'soldiers' that assist the mother ship.
- An INVISIBLE INTRUDER is aboard the Sunny (pp. 9-14): the anchor and a hatch move on their own, Luffy's mouth is stretched, Zoro's sword is forced to stab it, it licks Robin and grabs and throws Sanji, and Robin twice hears 'the growling of a beast.' It is never seen; the crew debate whether it is a ghost or a supernatural power, and note it could have killed them but did not.
- Nami, Usopp and Chopper were thrown over the wall onto the island, landing in a below-sea-level moat atop a pile of skeletons (p. 15); the island interior is a fog-bound forest.
- They are chased by CERBERUS, a three-headed zombie dog — one of its three heads is a FOX, and the creature is 'sensitive about being part fox' (pp. 16-18).
- HILDON, a top-hatted winged servant-creature, appears and offers to carry the trio by carriage to the mansion of his master, DR. HOGBACK (p. 19); Chopper recognises the name Hogback.

Summary
The Thousand Sunny, swallowed through the “Mouth Gate,” is now trapped inside the wall that rings Thriller Bark, and Robin realises the ghost island wanders the seas on purpose. Luffy, Robin and Franky resolve to go ashore — Luffy to reclaim Brook, Robin “for the thrill” — while Franky unveils the rest of the Soldier Dock System and deploys the four-seat paddleboat Mini Merry II. A scream from the fog signals that Nami, Usopp and Chopper, who went ahead, have been thrown over the wall onto the island. Meanwhile an unseen intruder stalks the deck: it moves the anchor and hatch, stretches Luffy’s mouth, forces Zoro’s sword to stab it, licks Robin and hurls Sanji, growling like a beast but never showing itself. On the island, the lost trio are chased through the foggy forest by Cerberus, a three-headed zombie dog with a fox for one head, until a top-hatted creature named Hildon appears and offers to drive them by carriage to the mansion of his master, the famous Dr. Hogback.
New reveals
- The ship is sealed inside Thriller Bark’s encircling wall via the “Mouth Gate”; Robin infers the island moves under its own power (pp. 2-3).
- Full reveal of the Soldier Dock System aboard the Thousand Sunny — five channels (0-4): support paddles, a one-seat waver, the four-seat Mini Merry II, the recon submarine Shark Submerge III, and an empty Channel 4 reserved for future weapons (pp. 5-7).
- An invisible presence is aboard the Sunny — heard as an animal’s growl, felt as touch, but never seen (pp. 9-14).
- Nami, Usopp and Chopper are inside the island, in a below-sea-level moat behind the wall, lying on a heap of skeletons (p. 15).
- Cerberus — a three-headed zombie dog, one head a fox — guards the forest (pp. 16-18).
- Hildon, a servant of Dr. Hogback, offers carriage transport to his master’s mansion (p. 19).

Open questions raised
- What is the invisible presence aboard the Sunny, what does it want, and why did it spare the crew?
- Why does Thriller Bark deliberately wander the seas?
- Who is Dr. Hogback, and why is his name famous enough for Chopper to recognise instantly?
- Are Nami, Usopp and Chopper (whose screams reached the ship) safe, and where does Hildon’s carriage actually lead?
