Summary
In the Mast Mansion treasure chamber the Risky Brothers are beaten (“ZOMBASH!!”) and Nami, furious that her treasure and the Sunny have been stolen, races off across a strangely narrow, “too well-made” bridge while a horned, raging Oars (Special Zombie SZ-900) chases her and gets his horns stuck in the ground. The Straw Hats stall Oars with comedy and meat while waiting for Luffy to beat Moria; Zoro takes the chance to test his newly-won black blade, Shusui, noting that black blades are prized for their hardness. Meanwhile Perona — having ditched her forced wedding to Absalom and planning to flee with the Straw Hats’ treasure — is confronted by a dark figure her zombies are terrified of: Bartholomew Kuma, “The Tyrant,” one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Kuma makes idle, eerie chitchat, shrugs off Perona’s Negative Ghost / Special Hollow combo, and then simply makes her vanish. He warps instantly to Nami, identifies her as the cat-burglar Straw Hat, and asks whether Monkey D. Luffy has an older brother; on hearing about Ace he concludes “I see, so it’s true,” leaving Nami desperate to warn Luffy.
