Summary
On the Skull Dome roof, Kaido names the Devil Fruit his child carries — the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model Okuchi-no-Makami, a rare Mythical Zoan wolf and the guardian deity of Wano — and demands Yamato take up that role to keep Wano running as a hidden weapons factory whose products he would “release unto the world.” Yamato refuses (“No, I will free them!! I will liberate this country and its samurai…”) and they trade blows (Namuji Glacier Fang vs Blast Breath). On the third-floor Banquet Hall, Black Maria assaults Robin with an illusion mist that conjures her dead loved ones — Professor Clover, her mother Nico Olvia, and Saul — but Robin, hardened by twenty years of such grief, shrugs it off; Brook fights at her side, freezing Black Maria’s man-faced-wheel weapon Wanyudo with soul-based ice. Black Maria taunts that Sanji “sold Robin out” by directing her here, but Robin reframes it as Sanji relying on her (“He is truly worthy of being the wings of the King of Pirates”). Brook takes the ghoulies; Robin answers with Gigante Fleur. Meanwhile at Tokage Port, a washed-ashore Luffy — rescued from the sea, recovering among Momonosuke, Shinobu and other Wano allies — demands to be taken back up and asks the child Momonosuke to turn into a dragon and fly him to the rooftop. Momonosuke grieves having only watched as Kin’emon and Kiku fell during the escape.
New reveals
- Yamato’s Devil Fruit is named on-page (p.2): Kaido identifies it as the Inu Inu no Mi (Dog-Dog Fruit), Model Okuchi-no-Makami — “a rare Mythical Wolf,” Mythical Zoan type, called the guardian spirit / guardian deity of Wano.
- Kaido’s design for Wano (pp.2–4): the country is a weapons factory; Orochi “had a skill for exploitation.” Kaido wants Yamato to keep it running, open Wano’s borders, and “release them [the weapons] unto the world.” Yamato rejects this, vowing to liberate Wano and its samurai instead. See Why Is Kaidos Son Yamato Aiding Luffy.
- Black Maria’s mansion underlings are SMILE-fruit users, named on-page with fruit captions: Tenjo-sagari (Hateful-Snake SMILE), Nure-onna (Snake SMILE), Wanyudo (Pug SMILE — the man-faced flaming wheel she swings as a weapon), plus the Number Kunyun.
- Black Maria’s illusion mist works on memories of the dead; Robin’s are Professor Clover, Nico Olvia (her mother), and Jaguar D. Saul — all of Ohara (pp.5–9).
- Black Maria claims Sanji “sold out” Robin by telling her where to find her (callback to her capture-trap arc); Robin recasts it as Sanji trusting her to help him (pp.13–15).
- At Tokage Port, Luffy was pulled from the water and is recovering among Momonosuke, Shinobu, and other Wano allies; Momonosuke recounts that Kin’emon and Kiku fell during the escape (referenced, not shown) (pp.16–17).

Open questions raised
- Will Momonosuke be able to control the dragon transformation well enough to carry Luffy back to the roof?
- Is Okuchi-no-Makami connected to Wano’s broader mythology / the wolf seen in Oden-era flashbacks?
- How much of Wano’s weapons-factory output has already reached the outside world under Kaido and Orochi?
