Summary

Slightly earlier in time, Zoro is led by the cheerful old man Tonoyasu (“Yasu”) into Ebisu Town, the destitute settlement that lives off the leftover scraps of the Flower Capital. Though far poorer than the Okobore Town of Kuri, its people laugh ceaselessly — they explain that only humans can smile, that “fortune comes to those who laugh,” and that a permanent grin is locally called an “Ebisu face,” the source of the town’s name. They’ve just thrown a feast because the Robin-Hood phantom Ushimitsu Kozo robbed the rich and scattered gold among the poor “last night”; with it they bought “nice, clean water” (which a scowling Zoro declines). Robin, undercover, is offered a cup, and the little girl Toko drinks happily. The scene cuts to “At present, Onigashima,” where the Big Mom Pirates assault the entrance to Wano: their ships, pulled up the waterfall by koi fish, deflect the Beasts Pirates’ cannons while Big Mom roars for Kaido and demands the return of her homie Zeus. Kaido rages that a full-scale war is at hand — until King, the fire-winged All-Star, swoops in and kicks the ships out of the air; a caption names his fruit the “Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Ancient Type, Pteranodon Model.” In the Flower Capital, Law and the disguised crew flee a manhunt: a Beasts officer, Page One, is smashing every soba shop to flush out the cook “Sangoro” (Sanji) who beat the Kyoshiro family. Refusing to let innocents suffer, Sanji announces “I’M RIGHT HERE!!!”, sizes up Page One’s dinosaur powers, sends Law’s group ahead, and steels himself to fight while keeping his identity hidden.
