The claim
Shanks has been running a deliberate long-game to back Luffy as Roger's will-heir and steer him toward the One Piece — but NOT because he knew the Gum-Gum Fruit was Nika. A future beat will show his motive routed through the straw hat and Luffy 'speaking Roger's words,' not through foreknowledge of the fruit's Sun-God identity.

The claim

Reasoning

This is the surviving, Nika-free residue of the “Shanks knew Nika” theory’s SC5, filed as a prediction because the sub-claim is not adjudicable from current chapters. The gauntlet refuted the fruit-identity version (SBS Vol 45 shows Shanks recognized only the disguise name; his crew still call it “just rubber” at Ch. 1054; he never reached Laugh Tale per Ch. 967). What the text does support is a general Shanks-backs-Luffy long-game — recognition by words at Ch. 506, the arm given “for the new era” at Ch. 1, and privileged WG-apex access at Ch. 907. The prediction bets that when Oda finally reveals Shanks’s motive, it lands on the will/hat channel and explicitly not on the fruit’s Nika identity.

Resolution

Once new info arrives, update status, resolved_date, resolved_chapter and write a one-paragraph postmortem here describing what happened and what reasoning was right or wrong.

Be specific — the cleaner the falsifier, the more honest the prediction:
