This is the one live, falsifiable remnant of the refuted “Usopp is a descendant of Montblanc Noland” gauntlet verdict — the sub-claim (SC4) that could only be prediction-routed because it depends on unpublished canon. The engine behind it is real and reliable: Oda’s “liar who tells the truth” grammar has paid off Usopp’s lies before — the “8,000 men” bluff became the Grand Fleet, “brave warrior of the sea” became Sogeking, the self-appointed captaincy became the Usopp Pirates (Usopp The Liar Who Tells The Truth, seeded from the boy-who-cried-wolf introduction in Ch. 23). The Usoland/Noland-descendant claim is the biggest Usopp lie still formally unpaid.

Nothing in the VIZ re-read of 1188/1189 touches this note — neither chapter carried a Noland beat under the fan-scanlation either, so there is no contaminated leg to correct here. The July entry’s only 1189 datum (Usopp on the surface sensing Luffy’s Haki weaken) survives verbatim in VIZ at p.3: “there’s no doubt that Luffy’s Haki suddenly grew much weaker…” — still with no heritage content attached.

New in-window: Usopp’s biggest scene since Dressrosa, and it pointedly is not about lineage. Ch. 1192 pp.10–11 gives Usopp the chapter’s spine and its title drop.
