Chapter 801: Opening Speech

Summary

Dressrosa, the morning after. In the underground trade port, two CP-0 (“Cipher Pol ‘Aigis’ 0”) agents survey looted weapon racks and conclude that every military weapon left after the incident was stolen by an organized force — “had to be them,” the Revolutionaries; the Navy is alarmed. Above ground, King Riku gives a restoration “opening speech” to his people: the Tontatta will now live openly among them. Chief Gancho introduces himself and his daughter Mansherry; Leo frets they haven’t even built the fairy houses yet; Rebecca is welcomed. Riku notes the Reverie is this year and nations are already preparing — “this is the land of love, passion and fairies.” At sea, a Marine escort fleet carries the captured Doflamingo toward Impel Down. Fujitora refuses to apologize to Sakazuki and won’t re-enter any base without Luffy and Law in tow, so he’ll go “a-wanderin’”; an officer beside Tsuru scoffs “He’s a real idiot, Otsuru…” while Tsuru laughs that “it was Fujitora.” In handcuffs, Doflamingo monologues on the coming chaos — with him gone, who now holds “the reins on all the monsters in this world”? The Four Emperors, the Warlords, the worst generation, the Revolutionary Army, or the Navy? The “people of the ‘D’” who have smoldered beneath history will drag the Celestial Dragons from their perch; 25 years after Roger conquered the Grand Line, the throne still sits empty — “this is going to kick off the greatest battle for power in the history of pirate-kind.” Watching the four battleships, Captain Jack resolves to attack and free “Joker.” Meanwhile aboard Bartolomeo’s “Mister Luffy Go,” the Straw Hats throw a farewell party, learn their swollen new bounties (Sanji’s poster reads “Only Alive”), and set course for Zou.
