Summary

In the aftermath of Doflamingo’s defeat, the seven Colosseum captains — Cavendish, Bartolomeo, Sai, Ideo, Leo, Hajrudin, and Orlumbus — press a sake cup on Luffy, urging him to take an armada of 5,600 under his command and become the greatest of pirates. Luffy flatly refuses to drink: he doesn’t want to be a “big shot” or a boss; he only wants to be King of the Pirates, and a formal fleet would “cramp his style.” He reframes the bond on his own terms — if he’s ever in trouble he’ll shout for help, and they should do the same. Bartolomeo declares it doesn’t matter that Luffy won’t drink the “Father’s Cup”; the seven kneel and drink the Sons’ Cups anyway, swearing to be his shield and spear of their own free will, founding the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Meanwhile their combined fleet fends off an allied fleet of underworld players angry that their deals with Doflamingo collapsed, and Hajrudin hurls the last of Pica’s statue rubble down onto the enemy ships as a parting gift. Offshore, Admiral Fujitora bows in thanks for the Straw Hats “cleaning up the government’s mess,” covers their escape by reporting the rubble as freak weather, and weeps as a Dressrosa child comforts him. Luffy declares victory over the “Mingo Family,” and a feast begins — while narration warns the seven warriors will each grow in power until they cause a great historic incident no one yet knows about.
