Era: Zou voyage (Ch. 802)
- The crew (Bartolomeo, Gambia + landlubber gangsters) ferries Luffy’s half of the Straw Hats + Law to Zou aboard their ship, the Mister Luffy Go, through a hailstorm; all hopelessly seasick (p. 3–13).
Era: Zou arrival — delivers the Straw Hats (Ch. 803)
- Delivers Luffy’s group to Zou and refuses to follow them up the elephant — “we don’t wanna interfere with the adventurin’ of the gods.” Treats the Thousand Sunny as a “holy vessel,” sees them off begging for autographs “from the pens of gods,” and is overjoyed when Luffy (“Lomey and the gang”) thanks them for the ride (pp. 2–5).
Era: Final Saga — the Gartel loyalty test (Ch. 1126, flashback “one month earlier”)
- Confront the Red Hair Pirates at Gartel after burning their flag; Bartolomeo drinks “poison” to spare Luffy. Spared by Shanks but their ship is sunk off Gartel; status unknown (pp. 5-9).
Notable events
- Ch. 705 — the crew is named on-page: Gambia is introduced as Bartolomeo’s Chief of Staff and is beaten unconscious by the undercover Vice Admiral Maynard in the Colosseum; a shadowed Bartolomeo is later asked whether he has seen the missing “Capman” (p. 19).
- Ch. 706 — captain Bartolomeo makes his first full on-panel appearance (splash p. 2): “Captain of the Barto Club Pirates, Man-Eating Bartolomeo, Bounty: 150,000,000 Berries.” Competes in Block B of the Corrida Colosseum tournament.
- Ch. 720 — captain Bartolomeo wins Block B of the Corrida Colosseum tournament and is revealed as a Straw Hat superfan crew whose captain reveres Luffy as the future Pirate King — beating a noble gladiator bloody for mocking Luffy (pp. 2, 5–7). Seeds Colosseum Fighters Pledge To Luffy Grand Fleet Seed.
- Ch. 797 — at Dressrosa’s fall, the Barto Club seizes and impersonates the eastern-port naval lookout to secure the alliance’s escape route (“Everything is under control!! …No need for backup!”), and stages at the ruins of Carta to extract Luffy — holding position as Admiral Fujitora closes in (pp. 3–4, 17).
- Ch. 799 — Captain Bartolomeo is ranked #2 of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet; the Barto Club numbers 56 members (p. 16). Bartolomeo explains the seven captains “all just kinda got along” and arrived at their order “by drawing lots” (p. 15).
- Ch. 800 — captain Bartolomeo gives the founding speech of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, pledging the Barto Club into it; shrugs off Luffy’s refusal of the “Father’s Cup.”
- Ch. 801 — the crew’s ship is named on-page “Mister Luffy Go” (caption “BARTO CLUB SHIP — MISTER LUFFY GO,” p. 12), decorated in homage to the Thousand Sunny. The Barto Club ferries the Straw Hats (Luffy, Law, Robin, Brook) off Dressrosa toward Zou; Bartolomeo keeps the crew’s framed wanted posters and a Sabo-made vivre card pointing to Luffy (pp. 12–17).
