“White Knight” Cavendish, captain of the Beautiful Pirates and a former prince-turned-pirate carrying a 280-million-berry bounty (splash caption, pp. 9–10). A flamboyant narcissist whose beauty makes onlookers (especially women) faint. He came to the New World three years ago as a celebrated 200-million-berry rookie, but the Paramount War and the post-war “worst generation” — above all Straw Hat Luffy — eclipsed his fame, leaving him bitter and vowing to “kill all the whipper-snappers.”

• As the self-styled “huge star/senior,” presses Luffy to accept the fleet; among the seven who drink the Sons’ Cups founding the Straw Hat Grand Fleet (pp. 4, 10).

• Present on the plateau, rousing from his murderous Hakuba sleep-state (“I fell asleep…”); his blade rings against Doflamingo’s strings in the “Precious Metal Axe” clash (pp. 6–7).
• Tasked by Luffy to escort everyone down off the plateau and guard Law; addressed throughout as “Cabbage” (pp. 6, 14, 16).

Dressrosa — “Half ‘n Half”; Hakuba half-exposed (Ch. 773)

• His sleeping alter-ego Hakuba has wiped out the surrounding Donquixote soldiers (including Dellinger) in an unseen blur and turns on Nico Robin; Robin pins Hakuba and Cavendish wrestles his own body back in a “half ‘n half” struggle (the two personas argue, p. 7).
• REVEAL: Cavendish can keep Hakuba “half-exposed” — his body under his own control while borrowing Hakuba’s super-speed — and uses it to carry Robin off the plateau to Flower Hill’s 4th step (pp. 15, 18–19).

Dressrosa — King’s Plateau / Hakuba re-emerges (Ch. 772)

• Nearly killed by Gladius’s “Pop Rock Fest,” survives inside Bartolomeo’s barrier; squabbles over barrier etiquette (pp. 6–9).

Dressrosa — the climb; his steed falls (Ch. 757)

• Joins the ascent; his beloved horse Farul is felled on the climb — “my beloved steed has been felled on this step!! …I cannot go onward without doing what must be done!! Go!!!” — and he stays behind to fight on so Luffy can advance (pp. 4–5).

Dressrosa — Cavendish and Farul vs the toy soldiers (Ch. 756)

• The “rooster-headed guy” fights the immortal toy soldiers with “Blade of Beauty… Round Table!!!” alongside Luffy and Law; his horse Farul is bitten and its head crushed by the toy soldiers’ jaws (“Don’t die on me, Farul!!”, pp. 12–15).

Dressrosa — the climb (Ch. 754)

• Among the assault force ferried up the plateau steps; bickers over who gets Doflamingo — wants the officer / to strike Doflamingo himself (“I will be the one to strike down Doflamingo!!!”) (pp. 9–10).

Dressrosa — ferrying Luffy up the plateau (Ch. 753)

• Carries Luffy (and then the Soldier) up the steps on his horse Farul, complaining that Farul “can only run gracefully with a max of two passengers” (pp. 12–13).

• Charges ahead up the mountain on horseback (Farul) in the race to reach Doflamingo first — “I’ll see you when you get there!! Straw Hat!!” (p. 10). Luffy calls him “Cabbage”; Luffy’s group keeps trying to “get ahead of Cabbage” (pp. 10, 13).

Dressrosa — Swan Lake vs the stone giant (Ch. 749)

• Strikes Pica’s stone with “Blade of Beauty — Swan Lake!!!” during the plateau assault (p. 5); reacts to the chaos (“What’s going on with this group?!!”) and mocks Pica’s tiny voice (”…Soprano singer.”) (pp. 5, 15).

Dressrosa — the gladiator rally (Ch. 748)

• Berates the “Worst Generation” for stealing his popularity; returns Law’s hat; declares he’ll seize Doflamingo’s head himself “for the fame,” lapsing into narcissist comedy (pp.6–8).

• Paraded in the Block D roster montage (“Pirate Cavendish,” p. 11). Behind the coliseum he talks to the disguised “Lucy” (Luffy), irritated at Luffy’s popularity (“I don’t like how popular this guy is…,” p. 9).

Dressrosa — Competitor Viewing Section (Ch. 707)

• In the viewing area with Bartolomeo (who calls him “Cabbage”), eyeing the field; remarks that he’d “counted on at least one of [the Worst Generation] showing up to compete, given the prize” and that it’d “be faster to just wait for them to win” (p. 16). Notes that hiding one’s face is possible here (the Burgess precedent).

Dressrosa — Corrida Colosseum (Ch. 708)

• In Block C with Luffy/Chin Jao; draws his prized sword Durandal (“one of the world’s finest blades”) to claim “Lucy” for himself — strikes with the named sword technique “Blade of Beauty: Blue-Bird”; cry “Doisa!! Head-Arms!!” (pp. 4–5). (Note: “Blue-Bird” is the sword-strike shout, not an alias.)
• His thrust strikes Chin Jao’s skull but does not pierce (“Durandal did not pierce the flesh?!”, p. 5); Chin Jao’s counter-blow knocks him aside (p. 6).

• At the Corrida Colosseum, moves to charge into the ring and is held back (“Stop! You can’t charge into the fight, Cavendish!! When did Straw Hat get down into the ring?!”, p. 16).

Dressrosa — the Corrida Colosseum (Ch. 714)

• Watches Block C, seething that the masked “Lucy” (Luffy) is “stealing my popularity… Damn you, Straw Hat!” even with his identity hidden (p. 14). Confronted alongside Bartolomeo by a large veteran gladiator over who has the right to kill “Lucy” — “He’s my quarry, not yours.” (p. 10).

Dressrosa — the Corrida Colosseum, viewing section (Ch. 719)

• Threatens Bartolomeo — “If you try to stop me, I’ll get rid of you too, Bartolomeo!” — who replies he’d “like to see you try” (p. 19).

Dressrosa — the Corrida Colosseum (Ch. 720)

• “Runs amok again” hunting “Straw Hat,” drawing his sword Durandal and chasing Luffy across the Colosseum grounds; “There’s no escape for you here!!” (pp. 3–4).
• His Beautiful Pirates jolly roger is shown as the crowd reacts; he is beaten down by Bartolomeo but keeps pursuing Luffy through the chapter (pp. 4, 7, 9).

Dressrosa — Block D battle royale (Ch. 733)

Dressrosa — the Corrida Colosseum, Block D (Ch. 734) — the Hakuba reveal

• Hakuba reveal. Cavendish has a murderous alternate personality, Hakuba, who awakens only while Cavendish is asleep — he is a sleepwalker (pp. 8, 13). While Cavendish slept, Hakuba cut down the entire remaining Block D field in a blur of “slicing winds” (pp. 9–12), leaving only Rebecca standing.
• The crowd assumed a cheap trick; Diamante explains the truth (p. 13): Hakuba is “twice the fighter Cavendish is” and “a genius with the sword to begin with,” but he can only surface when Cavendish falls asleep — which serves Cavendish poorly inside a coliseum fight. (Translator note p. 13: “Hakuba” 白馬, “white horse,” echoes Cavendish’s “White Knight” nickname.)
• Backstory: it was Hakuba who committed the night-killings — the “Slicing Winds of Rommel” — in the Kingdom of Rommel years ago; Cavendish was blamed and “chased out to sea,” which is why he lives as a pirate (pp. 6–7, 13). He nonetheless “enjoys the fame this brings him.”

Dressrosa — the prize melee (Ch. 737)

Dressrosa — Corrida Colosseum, Block D (Ch. 722)

• Rides into Block D on his white horse Farul and rebukes the crowd screaming for Rebecca’s execution: a warrior who fights with death over her head deserves no slander from “the uninvested” (pp. 4–6). Billed on-page as “White Knight Cavendish, Captain of the Beautiful Pirates” (p. 4).
• Confesses he hates that the tournament exists but has “his reasons” for entering; dons his colosseum gladiator armor (p. 6). The mob instantly flips from booing to adoring him — thrilling and disgusting him in equal measure (“It’s been three years!”), referencing the looks that “stunned the world three years ago” (pp. 5–8).
• Tells Rebecca to forget he stuck up for her: “Now forget this happened. We’re enemies.” (p. 8).
