The “personal demons” register pays off in an inverted form: an “overzealous” Killingham summons the thing he fears — the God of Rain ZaZa — which terrorizes his own side (Ch. 1182). The Nika-as-target tell is supported: a counterfeit “God of Destruction / Nika” sleeptid is paraded to terrorize the children (Ch. 1173), and the Holy Land’s nursery boogeymen are named as “the people of the D, Nika, and the Rain God” (Ch. 1182).

Killingham’s authorship keeps hardening — the God of Rain ZaZa is captioned outright as “Killingham’s Sleeptid” as it floods the Western Village and carries children off (Ch. 1187), and Killingham himself steps into direct combat wielding the founder-weapon Longinus for the House of Rimoshifu (Ch. 1189). But neither of the two open sub-clauses advanced: the power is still never captioned as a “Devil Fruit” (the “sleeptid” classification is used instead, which if anything leans toward the Holy-Knight-rite alternative rather than confirming Robin’s fruit hypothesis), and the predicted defeat-by-confronting-one’s-own-fear mechanism still did not materialize — the sleeptids are met with force and the fear-crisis is now being weaponized for mass child-abduction, not undone by catharsis.
